Let the music begin...
And with a song in my heart, wishing you A Happy and Healthy New Year.

See you next year.

Outside my window birds gathered in the tree. There were all kinds of birds creating a mosaic of designs against the stark bareness of the winter branches. With the exception of a few berries, the brown thin branches seemed to offer little support. Yet each bird grasped the branch as the wind tossed their foundation about.
One little gray bird caught my eye, as it looked as though it lowered his little head in prayer. I grabbed my camera and captured the scene and spent some time admiring this sweet bird and created a mosaic with my digital paints.
As I meditated on the image, I thought about the parable and how our life is a mosaic.
When our world is touched by some adversity we take the time to highlight the simple things that normally escape our consciousness when all is right with the world.
Just like this little magic, perhaps I would have missed seeing God's hand in nature, had I not been asked to appreciate my health.
I have an appointment with a surgeon on Friday, and although my faith is strong in the Lord, I thought I would ask you for prayer.
Whether God chooses a miracle or the capable human hands, I know that I will be healed. The song for this post is Healer.

I joined this Huge event last year and was thrilled at the people I met, the blogs I was able to visit and the fun giveaways. Here are all the details, if you would like to join in this wonderful event. Lisa has published all the details on her One World One Heart Blog, so that we can be added to THE GYPSY CARAVAN.
"To be a participant on The Gypsy Caravan with your link on the right sidebar on this blog you must have a giveaway posted on your blog sometime on or after January 19, 2009. The giveaway can be more than one item with multiple winners or just one thing….it’s entirely up to you. You must have a clear reference that you are part of OWOH by adding the badge to your post which makes it obvious to those that visit you and even linking back to the OWOH blog. This also enables those who may not know about the event to still get involved...READ MORE"
Last year I had over two hundred people stop by from all over the world. I won a giveaway too! The best part of the event was getting to know Lisa, she is the most talented artist and truly a kindred spirit. I met other blogging friends too. So, if you love to meet new people and want to visit blogs from all over the world, please consider joining in this great even that connects our hearts in our One World...

Happy Pink Saturday.
Thank you Bev, for so many wonderful pink Saturdays during 2008. Thanks for all the pink memories.
If you stop by Bev's place from How Sweet The Sound, you will find many pink posts celebrating the last Pink Saturday for 2008.

The song for the post is Thanks for the Memories.

The Gift of Christmas, if only they had known,
The King was to be born to save the world,
They would have covered you in garments fit for a King,
Fabric woven with gold thread with the Word of God,
A crown of jewels would have adorned your head,
Blankets made from beautiful fabrics and embellished with lace and finery,
For your cradle.
Which would have been made from the finest gold,
They would have songs and hymns written to celebrate your birth,
Millions of people would have traveled to meet you,
Offering you many places to stay,
I ask you sweet Jesus to stay close by me forever,
And love me I pray,
I give you a place to live within my heart,
To praise you with my talents and voice lifted high,
You are the greatest gift
That our Father has given,
The only gift I need at Christmas...you are the greatest gift of all.
The song for this post is Silent Night.
