Winner of the One World One Heart Giveaway

I waited until Midnight and then I counted the final comment. I felt a bit like when I was little and I didn’t want to go to sleep until Santa came. Then, I looked to see who won. Early this morning I got up and set out to write a post announcing the winner of the One World One Heart Giveaway.

I would love to thank the wonderful Lisa from A whimsical Bohemian for creating this wonderful event. At a time when our world seems upside down, you came along and turned it right side up for just a while. Reminding us that no matter what...people are wonderful and everything will be okay in this One World with One Heart. It might sound silly, but I wish it wouldn't end, what's that I see? Oh yes, Lisa will keep the OWOH blog open for quite a while so we can visit all of our new friends from around the world.

I wanted to create something special for OWOH. I love painting inside special journals.




On a recent trip, I purchased a lovely journal. On the cover is an antique print of a robin, and the corners are embellished with glitter.



Inside the lovely treasure are satin blue ribbons to be used as bookmarks.



I think journals are such a magical place to write your dreams and keep your special thoughts.

Perhaps the winner can write special quotes, favorite scriptures, or perhaps a journal of secrets inside. Just in time for Spring to perhaps keep Garden Notes.



I have so many beautiful stamps with lovely images that seemed to fit nicely with Mr. Robin on the cover.



Creating this journal as a give-away was a perfect opportunity to use some of these images.



I also added some wonderful Vintage cards on some of the pages. Since this is a gift for you, I can use all kinds of things to create.



I started with choosing stamps that went with the theme of this lovely journal.



Then I stamped each page with a different image.



Once I had all my pages stamped and the ink was dry,

I started to hand-paint the details and added a few elements of my own to the designs.



In the front of the book I created a pocket for a Vintage greeting card.



I thought it would be a nice touch if someone wanted to give this journal as a gift.

Of course there are bits of magic tucked into little pockets throughout the journal to surprise you.
