The Hills Are Alive With The Sound of Summer

I was away in Vermont visiting my Mom for the last week.  I never travel to Vermont without stopping in beautiful Stowe.

The Von Trapp Lodge is located on Stowe Mountain
and has the most majestic views and gardens.
We all can remember scenes from The Sound of Music.
The Von Trapp family recreated the beauty that they had left behind.

  1. It has been a very long time since I was last in Vermont, but I have lovely memories of that green, gorgeous state. Lucky you, to go back and forth!

  3. I was there once - I wish I could go again to really appreciate it because my dear husband took me there after my parents passed away. I was in too much shock and in a state of exhaustion that I couldn't appreciate this most gorgeous place! Magnificent gardens indeed, Karen! Anita

  4. I look forward some day to visiting the Eastern states that you blog about Karen. Everything you show us is so breathtakingly beautiful. We don't have mountains in lower Michigan!
