Brag Monday

Karen from the Graphics Fairy is hosting this lovely day.  A day where we can share what we have created with her generous gifts of beautiful images.

I love designing fabric on Spoonflower, and a while back I contacted Karen and asked her permission to have a fabric printed of her lovely designs.  I couldn't wait to get started when she said yes.

I am partial to French Script, so I took a bit of this...

and a bit of that,

and added one more

along with my peony photograph, which I made a bit lighter to compliment the design.

Then I went to my Spoonflower account and uploaded these images to create my designs, and I created the design I call Paris Pillow.

The advantage of using Spoonflower to print your fabric, as opposed to the transfer method is that you can care for the fabric as you would any professionally printed fabric.

You can order the fabric in large quantities, any scale,



any fabric that they offer and in a centered, repeat, half-drop, mirror or brick layout.

So, I ordered the fabric in my large print design, I call Paris Pillow.  Centered on a fat quarter of their lovely Quilting Cotton, measuring 21" x 18".  I especially love creating fabric to make pillows.



When the fabric arrived I couldn't wait to make this pillow...

Nine Million Bicycles and I wish it was Spring

Truth be told I was supposed to be finishing organizing my art room,



something I actually started doing on Saturday.



But I found this dreamy music,



and I began to paint with my digital paintbox.

Lost in daydreams about Spring.


We have so much snow and icicles hanging from our house,



that I am beginning to feel like I am starring in the movie Dr. Zhivargo.



I was so cold when I was watching that movie...



Well, I painted some dreamy Springtime images.

Rhonna Farrer from House Of Three, created the most glorious papers,

and our Blogland Graphics Fairy, Karen gives the nicest images for us to use.  Like this bicycle I used to create this bookplate.  Please take it home to use in your library.

I used her bird and French Script for this card for her Brag Monday a while back, which I used again in my new collages.

The bird graphic and the bicycle I used int he collage is from Karen.  Did you know that Karen has 8700 followers, following her blog?  She has a new search feature on her blog to help you find images.



So, I will be getting back to my art room, I promise.
