Driving through country roads in Vermont with my mom this weekend,
we were on a mission to admire fall leaves despite the rainy gray day. When all of a sudden...
We couldn't believe our eyes. Yes, right in the middle of Vermont's backdrop of mountains and beautiful vistas, stood the most gorgeous camel. The people in this lovely cottage had a pet camel. He had friends too, two donkey's, goats and a few chickens.
He was so friendly and happy. He came right over and gave me a smile.
He made me think that sometimes God changes our backdrop and we can bloom even better where we are planted.
oday is Mosaic Monday, and Mary from Little Red House, is hosting this lovely day.
Oh Karen what a delightful post and a wonderful message! Ya know...most of the time as I read your blog, I feel that you are speaking directly to my heart! Truly! Your photos of the Vermont hillsides are just beautiful! And that Camel?? What a darling face! I wonder how he came to live in Vermont? Thanks so much for all that you do, for all of us out here in Blogland!!! Hugs & Blessings~Sharon
ol! What a surprise to see a camel in Vermont:>) It looks like your colors are just at their peak, so beautiful! I often think the leaves look especially bright in the gloom of a rainy day.
Great big smile here, Karen, not only for the camel, but for the beautiful photos of Vermont, too. My husband has been itching to get up there for a few weeks now, but unfortunately, we just don't have the time... :( thanks so much for sharing your lovely images at MOsiac MOnday. :)
What a beautiful post, Karen. And how cute is that camel! Vermont is absolutely beautiful - these pictures remind me of my original home, Tennessee. The leaves there will be colorful in a few weeks, but I can't imagine any place having a more beautiful Autumn than in the photos you have posted today!
I had to giggle when the music started and I was looking at this precious camel. I am so glad he had friends. Your mosaic is wonderful and has such agood message. Sharon
What a delightful surprise that camel is. I am smiling and enjoying your post so much. Your photos are stunning. They take my breath away and that camel is so cute. I just want to go up to it and give it a great big hug and a kiss on the nose. I love your message too. Beautiful.
Beautiful photos, I love those fall colors! And to meet such a friendly camel all of a sudden. I remember once driving in the train and seeing one, you just have to wipe your eyes: Is this real? I love your wisdom, about blooming under very different circumstances. It is sometimes made possible for you, like you who immediately seeing a friend in him. Well done! Happy start of the week!
I hope you won't mind me peeking in for a visit, but I read your comment (just above mine) over at Diva's place and just HAD to come see this camel. My goodness, what an amazing treat for you and your mom. And your photography is exquisite! Thanks for sharing. : ) M.L.
Such a fun and unexpected post! No telling what one will find in the green mountains of Vermont! This is truly one of New England's most beautiful autumn states. Merci mon amie! Anita
Just gorgeous photography and the Camel reminds me of the foreign film where the Camel was weeping. I've loved them more ever since and yours is a beauty. Thanks for sharing.

I love the expression on the camel's face, it should be on an advertisement or something. Great fall pictures too, have a great day!

I love slow country drives through the scenery of fall. Something kind of sad about it in a way. Yet very pleasant.
