Nine Million Bicycles and I wish it was Spring
Sunday, January 30, 2011
Truth be told I was supposed to be finishing organizing my art room,
something I actually started doing on Saturday.
But I found this dreamy music,
and I began to paint with my digital paintbox.
Lost in daydreams about Spring.
We have so much snow and icicles hanging from our house,
that I am beginning to feel like I am starring in the movie Dr. Zhivargo.
I was so cold when I was watching that movie...
Well, I painted some dreamy Springtime images.
Rhonna Farrer from House Of Three, created the most glorious papers,
and our Blogland Graphics Fairy, Karen gives the nicest images for us to use. Like this bicycle I used to create this bookplate. Please take it home to use in your library.
I used her bird and French Script for this card for her Brag Monday a while back, which I used again in my new collages.
The bird graphic and the bicycle I used int he collage is from Karen. Did you know that Karen has 8700 followers, following her blog? She has a new search feature on her blog to help you find images.
So, I will be getting back to my art room, I promise.
Spring is just
beneath the snowflakes, I am sure.
The song for this post is Nine Million Bicycles.
I don't want to wish my days away, but I do wish spring would make an early appearance. Your creativity inspires me to yearn for warmer days and blooming flowers again....

Just gorgeous - thank you for sharing!
What beautiful images. Your creative eye is amazing. Love the music too. ~ Sarah
Wonderful, Karen, and what a nice tribute to The Graphics Fairy! I am going from almost four weeks in California ( medical care for husband) back to minneapolis and I am wishing I had taken better advantage of the weather. We were here for medical treatment for my husband at Stanford...not exactly fun...but it is so lovely and there will be many flakes at home!
Love your blog!

Oh Karen, THIS IS THE TIME TO START THINKING of all these things that make us so happy! It is after all of the festivities, and now, we are in this holding tank of seasons. But it is sometimes the best to get our creativity started!!! I LOVE HOW you enhance your photos. I have much to learn! Have a quiet and creative day dearest. Anita
Karen,
I love the collage with the bird. Just beautiful. Cleaning can wait when creativity shows up.
Have a wonderful week.

Beautiful post and with the few robins I have seen, I do beleive spring is just beneath the snow!!!
We are expecting another snow storm in a day or two, Karen, and I honestly don't know where I will put all the new snow as we already have five feet piles of it! Yoo hoo..Spring...hurry up..we need you! :D
I DO love that movie :) Funny, I was thinking of that when I saw the picture of your front house and then you said that. :) I think a day playing with your Beautiful art is much better than cleaning and organizing anyways :):) Hugs :) :)
