Once again the Concord Museum in Concord, Massachusetts is celebrating Family Trees:; A Celebration of Children's Literature. The Christmas trees will be up until January 4, 2015.
Here is the link to the inspiration used for this year's exhibit. A list of books made up of wonderful classics, favorites and new books.
I am sharing some photographs that I took of the first Family Trees I attended a few years back. When I saw this charming Alice tree, I fell in love. Each ornament was made to feel as though the characters from the book by Helen Oxenbury had hopped onto the tree.
Here is a photo of the illustrator in her studio. I found such an enchanting interview. I could listen to this amazing illustrator forever.
The families of Concord decorated all of the trees in the museum. I think this was one of my favorites.
Although, there are so many Christmas Tree Inspirations at the museum, each storybook is enchanting.
Speaking of Christmas inspiration, I love to listen to the Carpenter's at Christmastime. Like Sleigh Ride, the song for this post.
Today is day 18 of the Christmas Countdown. Please take home any artwork or photographs that inspire you from this post. Have a beautiful day.
