CSST TULIP CHALLENGE

Sadie Lou of Sadie Lou Who is the Administrator and founder of the Cottage Style Street Team on Etsy. She just had another wonderful TREASURY created, which is made up of tulip designs from the group. Sadie Lou is as magical as her name given to her blog and her Etsy Shop! The person that selected the tulips creations has a gorgeous shop on Etsy called I Heart That Dance, and a wonderful blog by the same name. I know how difficult it is to find space to create a treasury, so I would like to say thank you.

She hand-picked many of us to be included in her Street Team on Etsy. She decided to have a lovely Tulip Challenge, having us create using the tulip theme and presented the Challenge to the group. My first creation was already sold on Etsy, but I created these two canvas creations for the challenge.

Tulip Celebration 6 x 6 CSST

My first creation is a 6" x 6" square canvas with a Tulip Celebration print from my original watercolor color painting.

I used a taupe canvas with wide border. I trimmed the canvas in orange and yellow french ribbon and topped it off with a bow. It is very nice on an easel or hanging on the wall. Both creations are listed on my Etsy Shop.

Tulip Celebration 5 x 7 CSST

I painted the original watercolor painting of tulips for my mother. After I created my prints, I set out to create several canvas creations.

Print from Original Watercolor Painting

My second creation is a 5 x 7 canvas with a Tulip Celebration print also from my original watercolor painting. This canvas is a white linen and trimmed in the same french ribbon.

When I first started to design some tulip creations I had to have some tulip bouquets for inspiration.

Even though my art room is nicely organized these days, I always love to create at the kitchen table, so I grabbed the bouquets and my art supplies and made a lovely creative mess.

Now if you would like to tip toe through the tulip celebration challenge that Sadie Lou created on our Cottage Style Street Team, then visit the links to all the members of the Cottage Style Street Team by going to this link to each member. We also have a lovely flickr group that is host to so many beautiful Cottage Style Creations.

The song for this post is Tip Toe Through The Tulips.

Spring is here...we have daffodils, forsythia and trees blooming...just in time for Easter.

You are so lucky. It's SNOWING again outside my window. I believe all of our robins have little Red Sox jackets on!

How joyful! I really enjoyed seeing your work!

Thanks for visiting me today, Karen. (I've heard how buried Toronto is, can't imagine what it must be like to see it in person.)
