I went to visit my friend, Judy last week. I love Judy's home, everywhere you look you see beauty.
Whether you are sitting in her living room, enjoying the sound of the fire, good company and a glass of wine, or admiring the view outside her french doors, you can feel the serenity.
Nestled at the top of a mountain down a winding country road, Judy's house is at the end of a secluded drive. As soon as you drive up the driveway and see her home, you feel a sense of peace.
I was greeted by Judy's incredible hospitality. We ate wonderful meals together, and caught up on things.
Judy's sense of style,
and ability to collect things and display them perfectly always leaves me in awe.
I love Judy's kitchen too, especially the floor which is made from real brick, and all the copper things that compliment the copper stove hood.
Inside you feel so cozy, and the view outside her kitchen window is equally as spectacular.
I love her new overstuffed yellow couch, and her cat Inky loves it too.
Judy has such a way with arranging her furniture, and collections. She loves birds nests and bird houses, which can be found in most of the nooks and crannies of this charming home.
Another favorite corner of her home is the wall with a mural, and her collection of beautiful wood pieces.
These two magnificent chairs were rescued by her mom from the side of the road. Bringing them to Judy, she knew that she would transform them into something magnificent. Judy didn't disappoint her...
Reflections of her beautiful style are everywhere.
The view from her deck looks out onto a lovely wooded yard,
which is frequented by the deer and a bambi or two,
I love that rocker made from twigs.
A trip to Judy's wouldn't have been complete without a little shopping and tea. Judy took me to a wonderful place called Teaberrys. They served a delicious lunch and wonderful tea. She introduced me to her bead studio nearby where she creates some of her designs for her Etsy Shop. Oh, those beads!!
We had such a wonderful time. When it was time to say goodbye, I really didn't want to go. Thankfully, I found a great new way to drive there, and it only took me six hours. So, I'll return soon before the snowy season.
The song for this post is Stranger on the Shore.
What a beautiful, cozy home. I love the brown feather wreath!
Thanks for sharing such a beautiful home. :)

Thank you, Karen, for sharing this lovely home and thanks to Judy for allowing us into her charming sanctuary.... I can't even imagine what I would do to have such a lovely woodsy backyard like Judy's. This is so enchanted; I particularly love those white French doors against the amazing backdrop and magnificent view. I’m without words…

Hello Karen,
Beautiful indeed!!! I think what I noticed and liked most about the tour of your friends' house is that all her decorations seem inspired by her obvious love of nature. That really allows her to bring the outdoors inside. Just lovely.
