Today begins the 2009 One World One Heart Giveaway Event hosted by Lisa Swifka. People from all around the world are participating. The event will last from January 19th until February 12th, 2009. I wanted to create something special for OWOH. I love painting inside special journals.




On a recent trip, I purchased a lovely journal. On the cover is an antique print of a robin, and the corners are embellished with glitter.



Inside the lovely treasure are satin blue ribbons to be used as bookmarks.



I think journals are such a magical place to write your dreams and keep your special thoughts.

Perhaps the winner can write special quotes, favorite scriptures, or perhaps a journal of secrets inside. Just in time for Spring to perhaps keep Garden Notes.



I have so many beautiful stamps with lovely images that seemed to fit nicely with Mr. Robin on the cover.



Creating this journal as a give-away was a perfect opportunity to use some of these images.



I also added some wonderful Vintage cards on some of the pages. Since this is a gift for you, I can use all kinds of things to create.



I started with choosing stamps that went with the theme of this lovely journal.



Then I stamped each page with a different image.



Once I had all my pages stamped and the ink was dry,

I started to hand-paint the details and added a few elements of my own to the designs.



In the front of the book I created a pocket for a Vintage greeting card.



I thought it would be a nice touch if someone wanted to give this journal as a gift.

Of course there are bits of magic tucked into little pockets throughout the journal to surprise you.



This journal is a "one-of-a-kind" journal,



especially designed for Lisa's One World One Heart giveaway.
