The Thinking Blogger Award

I wanted to start this Monday by giving an award to some wonderful links that I visit often. Kathleen York's blog was one of the first blogs I read daily. Kathleen, or better known as KAYORK gave me this award a while back, but I had just started blogging and this world was all new to me then. I love how she takes us on the train or bus everyday through her amazing sketchbook.

Now I have fallen deeply in love with the whole world of blogging and I love to sit down and read my favorite blogs. I have always preferred memoirs in my choice of books to read. Now I have the opportunity to read memoirs in the making. I thought it high time I give this Thinking Blogger Award to those people who influence my days with their images and words in this glorious corner of the universe.

Holli and Faith are two of the most beautiful and animated people I have come to know and love through Holli's blog called Baby Faith. Her words are often thought provoking, funny, and moving. Holli can create a lovely adventure with her little girl, Faith and include amazing photos tutus and all. Yet she can move you to tears with her lovely writing about her personal trials. She is an incredible writer and she will make you think about world issues or how a moth got it's smile. Her blog is the only one I read that often makes me laugh out loud with her funny antics and her amazing photography.

The lovely Suze seems to create warmth and at the same time depth to her Artography blog. I have fallen in love with Suze and I seem to need to read her words to know what is happening in her life daily. She has taught me how to be a better photographer and the intricacies of writing a post. Suze gives me a peek into the magical world of England and makes me feel that the connection between us could be written into a chapter of 84 Charring Cross Road. Her photography is wonderful and her art and sewing are equally as creative. She has become a dear friend, and her new home in the quaintest part of the world is the making of a new blog. My only wish is that someday we can stroll through that glorious wooded area with our cameras and later sit over a cuppa together.

Wendy of the beautiful and ethereal Windy Angels creates beauty and interest on her blog every day. Her images always influence you in a meaningful way. I love how her photographs and her artwork speak to my heart. She is such a dear lovely angel and I can't spend a day without stopping by to visit her blog. Wendy is one of those enchanting creative muses that can create a thought provoking moment just by seeing her artwork and the images that she creates.

I first started reading Teri's blog when I discovered her lovely sketches in Flickrland. Yet I quickly learned what a kindred spirit she was, when I began reading her blog. Teri's artwork is very moving, there is something that steals your heart when you see her watercolor renderings. Her excitement over her recent trip to Hawaii was contageous and I just loved all the treasures that she created when she returned. Painted Daisies is always inspiring and always done in such a mindful way.

Lin has one of those wonderful sketchbook memoirs, where she memorizes special moments through her art. She takes us along her adventures and shares her sketches and writes narratives that correspond to her work. My favorite sketches are the ones that she paints of her grandchildren. The love that she memorizes in those special moments really moves me. Her blog is called View From The Oak and I guarantee you will leave inspired.

I just wanted to add that there are inspiring muses in Flickrland that have not yet started a blog. I wait eagerly for them to move into this lovely neighborhood and begin one, so I can learn all about their lovely images posted daily.

Congratulations to you and if you would like to give this Thinking Blogger Award to someone you feel makes you think All About The Award will help you on your way.

OK, now the links work again! Yay!
As I was saying, thanks so much for your kind mention of my blog, which I have been sorely neglecting lately. Maybe I'll post some photos on it this evening, too, instead of just drawings and paintings . . .

Anyway, I'm so glad you have enjoyed blogging, as it has enabled us to receive joy as well when reading yours and looking at the wonderful pictures and iistening to the lovely music.
Thank you, Karen!

Oh Karen how sweet of you to give me this award! It really means a lot coming from you and has totally made my day.

I want to visit the other Blogs you mentioned (well, I know Lin's very well-we came on the scene about the same time). They all look wonderful.

When I get settled in Arizona I will pass this on.

Mahalo!

Thank you so much, Karen. I love that you have Teri amongst your blogging friends! We don't manage to keep in touch, but she was one of the first bloggers I met, whose work inspired me :) Lovely to 'see' you here, Teri!
I am overwhelmed by your blog posts lately, Karen. The beauty & abundance around you is magnificent!
Humble thanks to you for your wonderfully kind words. We'll get that cuppa one day, I'm certain :)
Much Love & Many Blessings,
Suze xXx
