Sunset over Old Silver Beach

With the weather so warm and the promise of more snow I headed for the beach. I was in desperate search for some solitude and nature could not have answered my prayer any better. The ocean was probably the most serene that I have ever encountered.
Sunset over Old Silver Beach, originally uploaded by bluebirdsandteapots.
The sea looked more like a lake than the usual ocean waves crashing to shore that I typically find at Old Silver Beach on the Cape. As the sun began to set, I was mesmerized by it's splendor.

Monet himself could not have chosen a better pallet reflecting the pastels to paint the sky. The changing colors and movement took my breath away. I was so thankful that I had listened to my inner voice beckoning me to the shore today.

When the sun was finally tucked beneath the horizon I sat for a few more moments to listen to the gentle sound of the waves gliding to shore.

I am a strong believer that when I listen to that still small voice within and go where it leads, I always end up right where I belong.

I was desperately needing a reminder of faith today. The gift that I received by the shore, with such magic in the sky was the gentle reminder that if our Creator can paint such a magnificent sky, surely our troubles can be resolved by our Lord.

your faithfulness to the skies."

What a beautiful post. The pictures, the music, the journaling. Everything! So peaceful. And a reminder that I need to take some time to just "be still and know that He is God".
Thanks for commenting on my blog. You have so much to see here and it's late, but I'll be back!

You have so inspired me this morning! Thank you so much Karen for sharing all this beauty and your very heart with us. You have helped make this Sunday morning a lovely one!

I knew it! Knew I was to come to your blog today, as I am in midst of reconnecting with my blog friends. OMGosh! I love gorgeous, and dramatic skies, and you sure have captured them here. Beautiful. I couldn't agree with you more, re. the . . . "gentle reminder that if our Creator can paint such a magnificent sky, surely our troubles can be resolved by our Lord." He sure knows how to paint, doesn't He?! And He puts things into perspective. So glad you listened to the inner voice, and allowed yourself to soak it all in.

The sounds of the waves, and the music are wonderful too. Thanks so much for sharing this. Hugs. :-)
