How much is that Doggie in the window?

When my sister Lynne mentioned her friend Kelly made the most adorable things on Etsy, she wasn't kidding. Kelly from Gone Doggie on Etsy makes the most adorable stuffed animals. She makes them out of all sorts of fabric designs. I love the ones from the colleges. On her opening page she says Gone Doggie, handcrafted items made for the dog and the dog lover.

THIS PUP IS MADE WITH COTTON FABRIC. THE PRINT OF COURSE IS DUKE BLUE DEVILS ROYAL BLUE AND WHITE. HIS NOSE IS MADE OF BLACK FELT, HIS EYES ARE BLACK BUTTONS. HE IS SPORTING A WHITE RIBBON AROUND HIS NECK.

THIS BLUE DEVIL MEASURES APPROX 8.5" LONG AND 6" TALL.

Gone Doggie is about real doggies too. Kelly creates lovely dog collars and doggie blankets.

Kelly writes on her Etsy store,
THIS STYLISH DOG COLLAR IS MADE WITH COTTON FABRI. I USE HEAVYDUTY NYLON WEBBING CORE AND WHEN I SAY HEAVYDUTY I MEAN "HEAVTYDUTY". THIS WEBBING IS STRONGER THAN MOST COLLARS YOU WILL FIND IN YOUR LOCAL PET STORES AS THEY ARE MADE WITH POLYPROPYLENE WEBBING WHICH IS NOT AS STRONG AS NYLON WEBBING. STRONGER MEANS MORE SAFE FOR YOUR DOG.

THE COLOR IS CHOCOLATE BROWN WITH SHADES OF TEAL POLKA DOTS.

Samantha, how did you know the post is about dogs today? Here is a dog collar with Rainbow paw prints on it...I think Samantha likes this one!

I love this doggie blanket. I bet Cocoa would love this one.

Well, if you have a little pooch,

Okay Cocoa, if you are a good girl, I'll buy you a doggie blanket.

Hmmm, as I was saying if you have a little pooch, or if your favorite little one wants a stuffed animal doggie, or perhaps you have a friend attending college at one of Kelly's fabric pooch creations, do visit Gone Doggie.

We all love dogs in my family, and my sister, Susan has been knitting the most gorgeous dog sweaters. Susan writes on her blog about this tiny puppy:

Here is Tinker, a cute Min-Pin (Miniature Pinscher) from Pennsylvania, wearing an extra-small dog sweater from Fiona Couture Designs. The sweater is soft, very light, and keeps her very warm. Tinker is a very good girl and a very fashionable doggie!

Susan sells "dog gorgeous" and "comfy cozy" sweaters, which she calls Fiona Couture Designs on her Etsy Shop,

and even this little Easter Number for those of you who love to dress up your puppies.

My sister Lynne bakes the most delicious dog biscuits besides her Bee Happy Bake Shoppe people goodies like the BEST Brownies Ever. Stay tuned for her Etsy opening soon. Lynne and Kelly live in North Carolilna and when Kelly had one of her shows, she asked Lynne to bake those yummy dog biscuits. She was sold out. Personally, my dogs won't eat the store-bought ones, but they scoff down Lynne's home-make dog biscuits.

Now personally, I think that my sister's dog Fiona looks a bit like Toto and on the subject of Toto, Kelly asked if I could design something around The Wizard of Oz!

When Kelly asked me to design something around the Wizard of Oz Theme for her good friend, I felt so inspired. What a good idea to make Ruby Slipper designs...
Over The Rainbow

I mentioned the other day that Kelly asked me to do something special for her friend, who just adores anything and eveything about The Wizard of Oz. Well, I had so much fun listening to music from Oz and painting Ruby Slippers.

We are in the process of measuring Cocoa and Sam, so that they can have their own Fiona Couture Design sweaters.

Well, Kelly I hope you like this, I decided to do a Mixed-Media on canvas. It measures 9 x 12, and I used sheet music from Over The Rainbow as the background.

I found the most "Ruby Slipper" Trim you ever saw, which I added to the sides of the canvas, so that you don't need to frame it, you can display it on the wall or on an easel. I created a watercolor painting of Dorothy and added red glitter to her ruby slippers of course. Oh and I found a little charm that looks just like the Good Witch's, Glynda's Crown, which I hung from a bit of ribbon at the top.

I hope you like it. Just e-mail me your address and I'll send it to you.

Okay, Okay, Cocoa and Sam I know Etsy is for Dogs too! Let's go visit Kelly and Susan one more time!

If I owned a dog, she might have to have something from the cute shop that you featured.

Funny story...I was just listening to my Imeem songlist where I have several Patti Page selections. Then I clicked on your blog and find that you're featuring "How Much is That Doggy in the Window." It made me wonder for a minute because I didn't remember adding that one to my list. Ha!

Your "Over the Rainbow" project is wonderful!
