Weekend Dreams and Wishes

I spent most of today in my art room designing some new things. I received an order for one of my prints, which always inspires me to create some more.

Then a nice stroll through the yard to see what flowers are blooming yet. Samantha came along...



Then I was back in my art room creating designs.



I needed some nice music to set the mood and I found some dreamy music by the wonderful Michael Buble. This song is Put Your Head On My Shoulder...sigh.



My daughter gave me a bouquet of dreamy white roses for Mother's Day. When they opened up to full bloom, I wrapped a pretty satin ribbon to hold them together and turned them upside down on my baker's rack to dry.





My mom gave me two gorgeous white cake stands, I can't wait to bake something to use them. Meanwhile I arranged some favorite things to paint a pretty space. Creating pretty spaces, some flowers with music to design by always helps me to create pretty things.

My baby sister, Lynne celebrated a birthday today.



We spoke on the telephone this morning. She lives in North Carolina so we couldn't see each other, but she told me what she was doing to celebrate her special day. Lynne is a fabulous baker, so I sent her fresh flowers in the shape of a birthday cake with candles. I hope she liked them.

Tomorrow is Lynne's wedding anniversary.
