Wake up Mittens, it's time to do some Spring cleaning. I know just the music to put on to get us all in the mood to clean.
Samantha, the perfect Golden Retriever is all ready to help...
Here come our friends the little bluebirds to help us.
And Cocoa just loves to help us clean.
Perhaps some fresh flowers will get us in the mood.
Oh, well, I can dream can't I. When I took out the cleaning things and moved the furniture, everyone suddenly had somewhere else to go. So here I am ready to begin. At least the music is inspiring. Now where did I put my tierra?
Here's a little helper, a clip from tips on Spring Cleaning from Martha Stewart.
And it is always so reassuring to know that I am not alone...
House Cleaning Blues
by Ellen Bailey
I have the house cleaning blues
I look around and see so much to do
I look at the walls, the windows, and the floors
I see heaps of dust layered like boards
What I need is a good house cleaning crew
But where to get one, I haven't a clue
I asked for volunteers, but none would relent
Their community spirit, it seems, had been spent
I could wish for an occasional hurricane
For me, that may not be such a bad thing
I could raise the windows and open the doors
And be done with these house cleaning chores
But hurricanes don't occur where I live
So its left up to me to clean this crib
I have devised a plan to get the job done
Since I can no longer depend on anyone
My plan is as simple as it can be
One that is not very taxing on me
My walking shoes I will lace up tight
And from this nightmare I will take flight
The song for this post is called The Happy Little Working Song from my new favorite movie Enchanted.
Karen what a fun post. Fabulous music.
Alison
Cocoa does not look happy to be cleaning and Mittens reminds me of my Spanky. What a cute post. That's also what I was doing...some Spring cleaning and some catching up reading blogs and responding to emails. But really, I was cleaning too...you should see the fridge, it sparkles. No help from the animals though. Enjoy your week.
Melissa
P.S. Marabella is gorgeous!

Possibly you should take this on Broadway. It definitely has potential, and imagine the chorus line. Vacuums, mops and rags everyone.
Your pets are precious..and patient.. lol
Before I turned on my speakers I was singing 'Whistle while you work', now there is another tune to vacuum to.
xx
Looks like Cinderella! My pooch won't let me dress her up like my former beloved pooch! OOoo! I discovered 2 new NE artisans,I am featuring them on my blog for a little boost..pay it forward! Hugs Denise

Hi Karen :)
This is a wonderful post, especially since I just finished cleaning up dog hair. Why would any sane woman have 3 dogs, I don't know, but I do know you feel my pain ;) Thank you for the giggle!
I love Marabella! Very cute :)

What an adorable post! I was really hoping (since I do believe in fairy tales) that you were going to tell us that the cute pooches and kittie magically started dancing around the room, using their tales for dust wands!
Those flowers are beautiful!
Hugs,
Penny
