The sky was gray yesterday and I took a ride to one of my favorite gardens.
A magical garden where chipmunks greet you and birds sing.
Where nature is free to sprout mushrooms of gigantic proportions.
A place where angels guard you along the path.
I needed a place to pray yesterday.
A place of solitude where no personal distractions could interfere with the spiritual guidance I needed. This place has paths that lead to reminders of God at every step.
Struggling with some things and being alone in nature with God always helps me, and this place is especially wonderful.
A good place to be when you need to be mindful and reminded of how great God is.
This park has music playing, speakers placed high above poles marking corners of each path.
Although there are others that you might see along your walk, the respect of silence is understood.
We all come here just to chat with God. As I stood staring at the statue through the fountain I was reminded. "Jesus answered, "Everyone who drinks this water will be thirsty again, but those who drink the water I give them will never thirst. Indeed, the water I give them will become in them a spring of water welling up to eternal life."
John Chapter 3 Verse 13 -14
BOOK I : Psalms 1
1 Blessed is the man
who does not walk in the counsel of the wicked
or stand in the way of sinners
or sit in the seat of mockers.
2 But his delight is in the law of the LORD,
and on his law he meditates day and night.
3 He is like a tree planted by streams of water,
which yields its fruit in season
and whose leaf does not wither.
Whatever he does prospers.
There are few songs that can bring me to that place of worship as quickly as when Jackie Valesquez sings On My Knees.
