Let's pray

Prayer

This morning as I watched the news on CNN, they mentioned that Global Voices Online is translating the blogs that are reporting what they are going through today in the Georgian Villages.

I read on one of the journal entries:

"[…] We've decided not to go yet because it is dangerous. At home, the walls [of a house] help. […]

Value all that you have. Value the fact that you are alive and healthy, that you can watch a movie instead of the news, that you can buy a ticket and go anyplace you like. […]"

Let's remember these people in our prayers today.

We take so much for granted just because we can't even imagine the hardships that some others go through all their lives. I am praying for the people in Georgia, and for the people in Russia too, they need God too.

Awfull isn't it? Already one camera man from my country was killed there. I never will be able to understand this kind of violence and such violence has never led to meaningful solutions. Why cannot we just talk to each other?

Dearest Karen
I was happy last weekend when I saw the Olympics opening, totally devastated when I read the headlines on Georgia. I dont really care what transpired between, EXCEPT there will be a lot of innocent sacrificed along the way. I kept thinking, the human race has evolved for millions of years, and we are still back to the same thing...It is a sad day for the Georgians and we can only pray. tks for highlighting this Karen. hugs

You are so right...we have so much and take it for granted. We need so much to be thankful for our blessings and pray for those who suffer. War of any kind doesn't make much sense to me.

Thanks for the reminder to pray. Sometimes I just see what is happening and think "oh how awful" but I know prayer helps.
