Pumpkins at ConcordI went to the market and saw my first pumpkins. So, I have been having so much fun painting pumpkins. My favorite thing to paint this time of year.

Don't you just love Charlie Brown? I miss him.

Wilson Farm

Pumpkin (Winter Squash) Muffins

1 1/2 cups flour
1/2 cup of sugar
1/2 teaspoon salt
2 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
1/8 teaspoon clove
1 egg, beaten
4 tablespoons butter or margarine melted and cooled
1/2 cup milk
3/4 cup pumpkin or squash, cooked and mashed

Sift the flour, sugar, salt, baking powder, cinnamon, nutmeg and clove into a large mixing blow. In another bowl, mix together the remaining ingredients. When thouroughly mixed, stir the milk mixture into the dry ingredients. Stir only until the dry ingredients are moistened. Do not beat. Spoon into well greased muffin pan.

Makes 8 large muffins.

I fell right into the GREAT PUMPKIN, Oh Lucy!

I planted pumpkins this spring butthe deer ate the vines and flowers! Oh well, looks like I'll be getting mine from the farmers market again:>) Cute post!

Fall is my favorite time of the year. I love pumpkins,gourd,leaves,Indian corn all of natures finest to decorate with. I am going to bake those muffins tomorrow to have for Sunday Morning Breakfast....Hugs to you my friend.....

I am a pumpkin fan, too! I was in a sale yesterday and the ower of the business had just been to a local pumpkin farm and brought in a truck load of pumkins in all shades and shapes. She likes the white to whitish-green ones. They still had vines and leaves attached and were amazing.

I loved this post---and I wish we were neighbors! You seem to enjoy so many of the same things I do! Except--YOU are an artist. BUT I love art! So I guess that's a common love.
