November brings planning for Thanksgiving get togethers and Christmas Fairs at our local churches, schools and hotels.
As I browsed through some blogs, I saw invitations to Fairs in different States and some totally charming ones in England. “Oh, I wish I could go!” Hey, wait a minute...I was thinking...
Why not have a Christmas Fair here on the blogs?
I am hosting a Christmas Fair on Friday, November 21st. Most Fairs are held locally on the weekends, so Friday should be a great day for us to host a virtual fair so that we can still travel to visit the local ones.
You can create whatever your imagination leads you to do. At a Christmas Fair there are tables filled with cakes, Christmas cookies, sweets and gingerbread houses. There are tables of crafts for sale, and quilters create beautiful quilts. Oh, and there is always a raffle too. Knitters, painters, crafters, Jewelers, artisans, seamstresses and kit-makers all create beautiful tables filled to the brim with their creations. Hand-made Christmas cards, tags, Holiday ornaments, and decorations are a fun find.
So, show off your Christmas crafts for sale in your shop, create a table filled with sweets for us to enjoy.
Have a giveaway raffle or perhaps share your favorite Christmas story, ornament, decoration craft tutorial or recipe. Share photographs of your favorite local Christmas Fair. Maybe create a piece of art just for show and tell.
A virtual Christmas Fair is an imaginary place, an invitation to create, show, and share the magic of the Holidays. A meeting place that allows you to visit all the States, and Countries to learn about the different ways people celebrate the Christmas Fair. I have been busy in Santa's Workshop creating lots of surprises.
Write a post for Friday November 21, 2008, then stop by that day and add your link to Mr. Linky. I will have my post up on Thursday November 20th to accommodate those dreamy far away places in Blogland.
If you are just visiting, well, you can still enter my raffle with a comment and your e-mail address. Who knows, you might just find the perfect gift for Christmas, or take home inspiration to create one. Mark your calendars and please add my badge to your blog.
The song for this post is Christmas Time is Here.
Happy Inspiration!
Great idea, Karen. I'll definitely be a part of the fair and thanks for organizing it! :)Nancy

What a fabulous idea! I do hope that I can join the fun with my own Christmas fair booth on my blog, but I'm not sure, as I have a private swap; mail date november 21st, very big plans for my daughters birthday December 12th, Sinterklaas (as I told you) is the party of the year here with my family on December 5th, but I'm going to do my utmost best to create a post, perhaps just a small one, because I really really like this idea! Have a great Friday!
I think it's a nicxe idea making a blog Christmas Fair.
