A Prayer Request

bird-in-prayer-6

bird-in-prayer-10Outside my window birds gathered in the tree. There were all kinds of birds creating a mosaic of designs against the stark bareness of the winter branches. With the exception of a few berries, the brown thin branches seemed to offer little support. Yet each bird grasped the branch as the wind tossed their foundation about.

Bird-in-prayer

bird-in-prayer-10One little gray bird caught my eye, as it looked as though it lowered his little head in prayer. I grabbed my camera and captured the scene and spent some time admiring this sweet bird and created a mosaic with my digital paints.

bird-in-prayer-9

bird-in-prayer-10As I meditated on the image, I thought about the parable and how our life is a mosaic.

bird-in-prayer-8

bird-in-prayer-10When our world is touched by some adversity we take the time to highlight the simple things that normally escape our consciousness when all is right with the world.

bird-in-prayer-7

bird-in-prayer-10Just like this little magic, perhaps I would have missed seeing God's hand in nature, had I not been asked to appreciate my health.

bird-in-prayer-10I have an appointment with a surgeon on Friday, and although my faith is strong in the Lord, I thought I would ask you for prayer.

bird-in-prayer-3

bird-in-prayer-10Whether God chooses a miracle or the capable human hands, I know that I will be healed. The song for this post is Healer.

Thank you for your prayers.

Karen, Finding you this year has truly been a gift for me. You never fail to amaze me with your talents---and now your strengths. I will keep you in my thoughts and prayer as you take the necessary steps toward good health. You have so many "friends" who are squeezing your hands right now and telling you we care, we're concerned and we're here for you. Dana

Oh my darling friend, although I will admit to you that I am not of the most religious persuasion....I will be sure and think the most healing and wellness thoughts for you. I will envision your smiling face when it it is proclaimed all is perfectly well...and it will be. A divine intervention cannot possibly proclaim otherwise to such a deserving person as you!
Happy New Year!
