Hydrangea Frim Fram

My creation

I have been painting still life arrangements using watercolor. Deciding on just the right composition always takes some arranging.

Not to mention that you have to photograph the flowers, just in case they wilt before you finish your paintings.

My creation

Hydrangeas are such lovely flowers. I couldn't decide on which color to paint, so I chose all three.

I am back to sitting at my dining room table painting these lovely flowers.

The song for this post is Frim Fram Sauce. The digital scrapbook backgrounds I have used in this post I purchased from Two Peas In A Bucket.

Painting footnote
So there I was dabbing away at stage one of a hydrangea painting, when I looked at my tissue. OMG, my craftiness side noticed how much the tissue looked just like a hydrangea blossom.

Wow, Karen! This is really good. I just viewed the slide show of "where you create". I love your studio. The colors are pretty and it looks like I want to come play!! You said you can wheel your supplies around so you can create wherever the mood strikes. What do you use to wheel around? That's a good idea. I'm constantly trying to find the perfect way to keep my "stuff" and haven't found it yet. I don't have an extra room, so it makes it difficult. Your space looks great!

Dearest Karen,
Hydrangeas are my second favorite flower next to lavender. You have been so busy my dear friend, painting for such lucky recipients! I know that you are doing what you love and that is God's gift to all of us! I must say, your home is also so beautiful and it must give you so much inspiration! Have fun, but do come up for some air from time to time! Kind regards, Anita

Hydrangeas are like a bouquet all in one bloom. I can't wait to see your paintings. I know they will be lovely.

What a gorgeous post! Hydrangeas are one of my fav's and the lone one I have outside my window is just coming into bloom! Each summer it presents with gigantic white blooms! They are unfolding as I write!

Oh Karen, I have only spent 20 minutes looking at these beautiful images of my favorite flower over and over again! Your mosaics are gorgeous, and I love the butterfly cutout. Your vignette with the hydrangeas in a vase, the ribbon- tied correspondence, the key, etc. is absolutely the most charming photograph I've ever seen. Can you tell I enjoyed this post? I loved it! laurie

Hello Karen,

When are you getting featured on "Where Women Create".

Your studio and designs would look wonderful in that magazine!

Karen,

The photos are simply gorgeous. I just bought a hydrangea and it is just a little thing! I wish I had started growing them years ago...

Love your paintings of them. Will they be in your shop?

I am late in posting about the journal page you sent me but I am today. I look at it everytime I open my journal. The quote I have on it gives me INSPIRATION! Thank you again, sweet lady!!

Dearest Karen,
Thank you for your visit, my sweet artistic angel!!! I feel challenged, but I have done more difficult things with French, so now it is just a matter of disciplining myself to stick to writing 25 pages by Sunday!!! A prayer would be appreciated. Many hugs and God bless your painting!! Fondly, Anita
