Mosaic Monday

mosaic-monday

oday is Mosaic Monday, and Mary from Little Red House, is hosting this lovely day.

I love going for drives, sometimes I wander with my camera on my front seat...just in case I find something interesting. Here in New England several States are so close by that you can be in Massachusetts, New Hampshire and cross the border to Maine in just a short while.

My creation

did a bit of window shopping in Haverhill, New Hampshire, and admired the shoe statues in the town center. I stopped for ice cream along the way to Salisbury and saw this biker with his great dog riding alongside.

My creation

hen I was off to Newburyport to admire the sailboats and take in the scenes along the drive to Plum Island. I followed the signs to an Art Underneath The Skies tent ta dah in Salisbury, New Hampshire. Gathering some random shots of interesting things along the way.

My creation

ll in all it was a lovely day driving along underneath a blue sky with puffy white clouds and the lovely New England countryside to admire. The sun roof was open and windows were rolled down. I finished the day sitting by the ocean in Kennebunk with a cup of chawda admiring the New England sunrise.

Maine 16

The song for this post is Weekend In New England. This song brings back memories of a summer romance when I was a young woman living in Manhattan. I never guessed that someday I would be living here.

Hi Karen,
I love your first mosaic -- I went for a ride. Beautiful work. Do you use a program or are you just a super talented person ? Your work is so lovely. I can see why you travel with your camera.

I love New England so much, Karen, and I think the best vacation we've had in years was spent going there, particularly to Kennebunkport, Blue Hill, and Martha's Vineyard. You are blessed to be in that area!

XO,

Sheila :-)

Hello my dear fellow New Englander! Great photos, Karen. How we enjoyed ourselves on our voyages en voiture during our tenure in Boston. We loved Marblehead, Newport Rhode Island and just the entire coastal experience! God bless you my dear artist and friend! Anita

Karen, these are wonderful images. My favorite is the shot of the mailboxes.

I posted a preview picture of my office redo today. I think you might spot something in the photo that you recognize. ;-)

Hi Karen, you live in the most beautiful place. I love your mosaic and the tour in your car. The dog and his best friend is my fave too. We have been in Kennybunkport and it is a charming town. I loved the houses. We also stayed in Ogunquit for several days a few years ago. We hope to vacation in Maine next summer for a month. It was fun going on your ride with you.

Hugs...Jeanne.

Your adventure there sounds like a memorable one that you will cherish forever! Thank you always for your encouraging and uplifting comments...they are so appreciated. I have so much fun writing to entertain myself and sharing my "follies" with everyone and anyone that will tolerate my madness!!! Come by on Saturday or after to see the first act! Fondly, Anita
