Evening in Paris

DSC03543When I came across a package of Antique tiny photographs of the Eiffel Tower, I had no idea how it would inspire me on Photoshop. I started with my own background using brushes of a favorite roses photograph of mine.

DSC03543So there I was enlarging this tiny photograph and erasing the background. Well, one thing led to another...

DSC03543I found an overlay of a glitter image which I purchased for commercial use. Then I erased bits of the chandelier I designed. When I placed my chandelier over the glitter image, it was shining through looking like the lights were lit.

After I printed out the image, I had to add a bit of glass glitter.

DSC03543The next thing I knew I was assembling cards with grosgrain ribbon and matching card stock.

DSC03543Inside I put a stationery set to write a nice long note, or maybe tuck some tickets inside for someone special.

I created an Etsy commercial on YouTube. You might want to turn the sound down on the video if you want to watch it, so you can listen to lovely I Love Paris.

DSC03543Creating greeting cards has always been a favorite pastime. Using glitter and ribbon....the best! I decided I am going to use my Lollishop for greeting cards. I also listed Evening in Paris on Etsy.

DSC03526The song for this post is I Love Paris.

Each one is a one-of-a-kind hand-made card. I still have a stack of different color combinations that I am working on. I sent a few to some friends who love Paris, and my sisters of course. What is your favorite crafting project?

WOW Karen, this is so up my alley, you know that! What better subject to dabble with in glitter, vintage and that special touch. La Tour Eiffel is a symbol of chic and beauty and you have added to its image in such a great way; thank you so much for the inspiration my friend!!! Bisous, Anita
P.S. My husband LOVES YOUR BLOG! We were perusing it this morning, having so much fun. He sends his admiration!

Ah Soir de Paris! I love the glitter on the Eiffel tower, even better than the real thing. I think you should, like Christie, do a little make over of the real Eiffel tower, with tons of glitter, now what about that?
Have a great weekend!

There is something very appealing about the Eiffel Tower. Your card is so beautiful I wouldn't want to give it away. I'd frame it!
The background colour you chose is very chic and très french :)

LOVE THIS! I have a "thing" for the Eiffel Tower, and have a few stamps of it (including one I designed for Blade Rubber, lol) and have to say yours are some of the nicest cards I have seen anywhere - very elegant, too.
