DSC03266It's hard to believe that soon they will be ice fishing here,

DSC03223

DSC03266and the sound of snow mobiles will be heard, and ice skaters will be skating.

Today it was pretty warm, hundreds of lady bugs hatched and were flying everywhere.

The snowflakes were so large, some of them almost looked like they were in the shape of a heart floating down.

How beautiful! I grew up on a lake in Michigan and I remember how quickly it goes from autumn beauty to frozen winter.

My sister is visiting from Florida and we went apple picking today. The higher elevations had snow on Sunday, but we just had frost.

Penny

I enjoyed looking at your colorful photos today. I think Mother Nature is going a bit nutty with snow already. Oh how I wish we could all keep those boats on the lakes all year long instead of snow mobiles:)

Beautiful picture Karen, although I am having a hard time looking at the snow~ shudder!~
We had a ladybug day yesterday. One of our last warm days, and it seems to really bring them out.

OMG! we have ladybugs everywhere, too! so funny to read that on your post. good things for ladybugs that they are "packaged" so cute -- no one seems to mind them. now if they weren't so cute ... might be a different story!

beautiful photos, of course! like i always say: new england tourism council! LOL
