Mosaic Monday

oday is Mosaic Monday, and Mary from Little Red House, is hosting this lovely day.
My friend Nancy Jo and I share the love of paper. Nancy Jo just sent me this lovely package. I couldn't wait to see what was inside.
I opened it up, and to my surprise it was a feast of ephemera.
I can't even begin to express my thrill when I looked through postcards, letters, special stationery, old checks, notes and illustrations. Thank you so much Nancy Jo, I will cherish them.
Hmmm and some of those dreamy postcards would make wonderful hot air balloons, don't you think?
Looking through old photos and ephemera tonight, made me think about how much I used to love to look through things like this at my Grandmother's home when I was little.
Thanks for the memories Nancy Jo, and thanks for the inspiration. Please stop by Nancy Jo's Place and visit her lovely blog. You'll just love her header I promise.
I couldn't find the song Paper Doll by Bing Crosby for this post, which was one of the sheet music books Nancy Jo sent me.
However, I did find this dreamy song which brings back wonderful memories of his unforgettable voice...White Christmas. Does anyone sing White Christmas better?
A White Christmas...I like the sound of that.
Oh this post is wonderful, I love the hot air balloon cut out what a great picture.
Have a wonderful week.
Blessings

Karen, what a darling post...i love how you did your pictures, that is so darn cute...what a wonderful gift of paper goodies your friend sent to you!!!
Karen,
You are more then welcomed. You have made a group of papers look very interesting. It makes me want them back. HA! I just knew that you would be able to turn them into something special.
I bid on a really nice lot of papers on e'bay last night but didn't win the bid. I will keep looking. So far in the last few months I have won three times. Wish you could see the two old scrap books I won. Can't decide if I should keep them as they are or use some of the things that are in them. Maybe I will take some pictures of the the contents and post them.
Thankyou for such a nice Monday post.
Nancy Jo

P.S. Bing Crosby's White Christmas is the best!!
Your new header is magnificent my dear! And all the nostalgia and beautiful ephemera gives a happy and peaceful feeling! Thank you for such lovely art any time of the year, Karen!!!! Anita
Beautiful! A package full of treasures!
What a beautiful package! I used to love to dig through my grandmothers old papers and sewing things. While she took her afternoon nap I would creep upstairs and go through boxes filled with the most wonderful things. She knew about my little snooping excursions and was ok with it as long as I didnt make a mess:>)
