Safari

o there we were on a safari,
In search of the finest bees wax that one could find. "Not!"
My friend Joyce from Nanas Little Hobby and I had an art date.
If you stop by HERE you can read her post you about the beginning of our adventure, and see Joyce's work.
Experimenting in bees wax is really interesting, It's not something you can plan really, The accidents create wonderful effects. So adding a bit of Perfect Pearls to highlight, and then buffing to shine adds just the finishing touch.
I added a bit of vintage ribbon to the back to be able to hang this one.
Then I covered the back with a dreamy paper by Webster's Pages, which I had purchased last December.
If you would like to see more Bees Wax adventure, you can visit HERE.
I love this song, it is Fireflies. I will leave you with a dreamy image to let your imagination soar as you listen to these lyrics to a happy little tune...
created especially for Katelyn
I've been wanting to try working with bees wax and now I shall!
Wowsers, this is very cool!
I never use bees wax - it's too much of a mess for me LOL.
But I love it when I'm in a workshop and people are working with it - it smells SO good!
Your "waxed" flowers are just beautiful!
How lovely! Now I'm off to read the other side of the story.

OOOHH! Karen they came out so beautifully! I can't wait to show Katelyn "Princess Serendipity". She will be so excited. She talks about helping on our "art" all the time. I think we have found a little kindred spirit. I think that she is going to be my little protege.
Karen what a great look the bees wax creates

Karen, these are exquisite. How I long to have an ART DATE with someone like you! Blessings to you, Anita
Very cool! I like the shine and texture you got with the wax. I always learn something new here:>)
Hi Karen! Wow! You've really gotten me excited about beeswax collage. A few months ago, I bought a melting pot and some beeswax but I've yet to experiment. Time to get out the stash of Pearl-ex powders and melt some wax! I love the effect of the powders with the wax. Thanks for the inspiration!
Wow! The wax creates a very finished effect. I just love it! Thanks for always sharing your beautiful creations!
