So, this is my song...

So, one thing always leads to another...

DSC09052

Especially when I am in search for the story behind things.

DSC09046

It began when I was introduced to Mindy Gledhill long ago on Nie Nie's blog.

DSC09056

I have often used her music to serenade a post, and to enjoy at home and in the car.

Then my friend Joyce from Nanas Little Hobby played Mindy's new video on her blog the other day.

I went searching and found...

Mindy Gledhill's blog

The behind the scenes of making the video with April Meeker.

April did the artwork for the background of the video for the song Anchor.

Oh my, you have got to go see  her web site and her blog  Second Sister.

And so...

I was very satisfied to learn more about this amazing singer.

She went to school with  Stephanie from  Nie Nie Dialogues.

DSC09099Mindy sings songs that seem to have lived inside your heart all along, waiting for her beautiful voice to awaken the memory with each lyric that she sings.

Her music has lovely melodies with lyrics that play with your heartstrings and spark your imagination.

I just purchased more of her new music to enjoy at home.

My creation

DSC09099If you would like to hear more of her music you can find it here.

Mindy is serenading this post too with a new favorite of mine called This is My Song.

DSC09056P.S.  I just love my piano keys.  Many years ago, a wonderful artist in our community saved an Antique Schubert piano which was left on the side of the road.  She repurposed these keys into ornaments.

I love it when I know the story behind things.

Leave to you to go above and beyond to find the story behind the artist. I found out about Mindy Gledhill on Vanessa Valencia's blog. The songs are so sweet and the melodies so simple that it's easy to be swept away. definitely my new favorite.

What a great story! Thank you for sharing your "discoveries". As soon as I can, I'm going to buy Mindy's album - it's available on itunes. I find your scrapbook to be very inspiring. I try to check in every so often. Thank you for your beautiful presentation.

Music is often the key which opens the heart (seeing your piano keys brought this to mind.)
