Taking a walk on a Spring afternoon,
down a pretty country road,
and capturing
nature's best, along the way.
Even the broken things in life can become beautiful, if we open our eyes to see. |
Recognizing the beauty all around me and memorizing the moment.
Appreciating the things that are free in life, like bringing home a stack of new books from the library. Enjoying a cup of tea and and something nice to read.
Admiring the sunset and being thankful for the simple pleasures in life.
and then I get to write a post and share what I have collected each day with you.
Such simple pleasures,
I am truly blessed.
Just like a lullaby, the sweet simple pleasures can comfort our souls. We are blessed with so many things, and when we think about what we have...thoughts of what we are lacking seem to vanish.
The name of the song for this post is Lullaby for A Stormy Night.
Textures in many of my photographs are from Kim Klassen.
A beautiful post Karen. How important it is to stop and smell the roses. Lovely photo's.

Good morning dearest! Yes, simplicity is my mantra these days, in fact, for a while now. I do not want to miss the beauty and important things around me because I am too busy or self-absorbed....I want to run on THE SIMPLE PLEASURES!!!!
Enjoy your day, Anita
Good morning, dear friend.♥
It is the simple pleasures in which we must seek and find joy. They are abundant and they are free. We all have so many blessings in our lives. It requires an open heart to recognize and enjoy them. But, we must lest the difficult things will overwhelm us.
Thank you for sharing your simple joys, your open heart and this glorious post.
Hi Karen...Loved your post today. So true, too. The simple pleasures are often the best. Great photos, too, and lovely music. Have a blessed, "simple pleasures" day! Susan
Hello Karen,
