Mosaic Inspiration

Mother's Day was lovely.

I was supposed to go out for breakfast with my daughters and then onto to drive up to Vermont to see my Mom.  I woke up feeling so sick, like I was hit by a mack truck.

My daughters each stopped over with gifts and good wishes.

I got to spend alone time with both of my Lovely daughters...

My Mom gave me The Pioneer Woman Cooks, which she had mailed to me earlier in the week.  Ree makes me want to cook, and that is a HUGE accomplishment.  I'd rather be crafting that cooking, so I find Ree Drummond is inspiring.

Ashley gave me my first Grandmother music box,  and Sarah gave me gorgeous flowers and a gift certificate.

The best part was spending time with such lovely young women.  They made me feel better and loved. I'll be driving to see Mom, when I am feeling better.  My car is packed with gifts and treasures for her, so I'll keep them there until I can drive to Vermont.

Hope you had a beautiful day.

Today is Mosaic Monday and Mary from Little Red House is hosting, so stop by and see Mosaic Inspiration.

The music for this post is from the movie I't Complicated, which I watched today from the couch sipping Ginger ale and lying still for a change.

Hope that you are feeling better even now. Your gifts are sweet, especially the grandmother music box. Yes, Ree's recipes AND pictures really make me want to cook. No matter what, do the pot roast!

Hope that you and your mom have a lovely visit later in the week when you are able to get to Vermont. Hope that the rain is slipping south of Vermont...

Oh so sorry that you were not feeling well on Mom's Day but happy that you spent the time with your daughters. That cookbook sure looks interesting but since I very rarely cook anymore I am sure it would be wasted on me. Hope you are doing OK...we miss you at Focusing on Life!!

A beautiful post today Karen. I love your studio. I am taking painting lessons from a great artist. She will not call herself an artist. She says she is our painting teacher. I think she is a marvelous artist. I have so many interests I just dabble here and there. Never picked up a paint brush until 5 years ago. I enjoy your blog very much.
