This Christmas I am turning my blog into an Advent calendar, so I can give you a Christmas surprise every day until Christmas. Every day I will post downloadable artwork for you to use as my gift.
Today's gift is The Three Wise Men. Years ago I made all of the ornaments for our church's Chrismon tree. Chrismon is the term used for ornaments that are all about Christ. Here is a picture of how the tree looked when it was all done. The entire project took several months, but I enjoyed it, creating these ornaments was pure joy.
One of my favorite ornaments was the one I created of the Wise Man. Here is the front of the ornament.
and the other is the back.
I have created a file, holding both the front and back of the ornament for you to create your own. When you print this file on 8.5x11" it will look like this:
The name of the file is Advent Calendar Day 9 Wise Man Christmas Ornament. You can download the file here.
After you print your 8.5" x 11" sheet, you can either cut out the complete form of each wiseman and paste together with your favorite glue stick or tape, which is what I did to create the ornaments for the Chrismon Tree. Or you can cut out the wisemen with their background and use for cards crafts or prints.
A trick I did for the hanger is:
once you have cut out the complete form, lay a piece of ribbon folded to form a loop at the top
glue the ribbon in place on one side, leaving some exposed to use as the hanger
glue the front and back (wrong side) together, with your ribbon sandwiched in between.
I have also created some other illustrations of the Three Wise Men for you to use in your cards or crafts. The name of the file is Advent Calendar Day 9, two 5 x 7 Three Wisemen. The File can be downloaded here. One of my favorite ornaments was the one I created of the Wise Man. Here is the front of the ornament.

You can also find all of the artwork on my Pinterest Board called An Advent Calendar of Downloadable Artwork. If you click the artwork that you like, it will lead you back here with the link to the download.
You are so generous, Karen! What a magical treat to come here everyday for goodies. :)
Hope your new week is splendid!
