Living in the moment, capturing each detail, the simple life...
I don't know about you, but I find that it is rare that my spirit is still enough that I am truly living in the moment.
When I am in the moment the details around me seem to be so vivid.
The words in a song seem clearer, the notes sweeter, and the details that surround me bring me more joy.
My daughter, Sarah made this magnificent tea set for me in her ceramics class.
I have meant to share this beautiful work of art since Mother's Day. Busyness kept me from photographing it just right to share it's beauty.
It seems to be such a simple thing, to be in the moment, that is...
yet, life is a bit like walking on a tightrope, while balancing stacks of things on an endless "To Do" list.
The simple life. Turn off the cell phone, television, computer and just be for a while. The present is just a moment away.
Karen, this is one of the prettiest tea sets I've seen. Obviously your daughter has her mom's talent genes. I love the relief work and the twisted handles. What a special Mother's Day gift. Yes, we all need to just be in the moment.
Enjoy your tea! ~ sarah
What a special gift! Love it.
I love your beautiful tea set!! It's obvious your daughter inherited your artistic ability.....
I love the music....it goes back in my 'past'.....not like today's music at all.
I'm trying my best to live in the moment, but right now, I keep going back; and I know this too shall pass.
Hugs,
Karen, what a lovely tea set. You daughter is very talented.
Hugs,
Penny
Your words will likely strike a chord in many of us - they certainly do so for me.
The tea set is really lovely. Your daughter has a gift!
The tea set is beautiful, and having worked with clay, I know how hard it must have been to make! She did a wonderful job and I am sure you must treasure it:>)
I can attest to the blessing of just being. Thank you for this post with its gentle heeding.
She did such an awesome job. It's gorgeous.
