Merry Christmas

My sister Lynne's gifts just came in the mail. Each gift is a work of art, so much so that I don't like unwrapping her gifts. I thought I would share this one with you and A Christmas blessing too.


A Christmas Prayer

Loving Father, help us to remember the birth
of Jesus, that we may share in the song of the angels,
the gladness of the shepherds,
and the worship of the wise men.
Close the door of hate and
open the door of love all over the world.
Let kindness come with every gift and
good desires with every greeting.
Deliver us from evil by the blessing
which Christ brings, and teach us to
be merry with clear hearts.
May the Christmas morning make us happy
to be Thy children, and the Christmas evening
bring us to our beds with grateful thoughts,
forgiving and forgiven, for Jesus' sake. Amen!

This rose pointsettia is from my mother, I put it in my kitchen so I can see the bright red color of Christmas as I cook Christmas dinner.


Twenty-five years ago on a snowy Christmas Eve, I wrote a Christmas story about a little boy named Benjamin. I called the story Benjamin and the Christmas Tree. I posted the story on My Children Stories place if you would like a new story to tell your children this Christmas. Five years after I wrote this story God blessed me with a baby daughter named Sarah Elizabeth and I am still writing children stories today.


I have created a Christmas blog as my Christmas card to you, and My Devotional has a special story of The Christmas Gift. I hope that this Christmas brings you the love and blessing that God intended when He first sent His son Jesus as a gift to us.
