Thankful Thursday

Fall Notes

Today is Thankful Thursday being hosted by Rhondi from Rose Colored Glasses. If you stop by, you will find lots of wonderful posts that remind all of us what to be thankful for.

A Stroll thru Concord

Fall LeavesI am so thankful for the change of seasons as we enter into one of my favorite times of the year...Autumn. Fall leaves, beautiful foliage to see, pumpkins to carve and bake into pies and a chill in the air just cool enough to wear your favorite sweater.

It's time to go for drives in the country to see the fall leaves, and to pick apples.

Autumn Bridge

I love this season and I missed it so much when we lived in Asia.

Fall Leaves

In a just a short while, I will be opening up my front door and welcoming the fall leaves.

My sister, Susan one year ironed her fall leaves in wax paper and sent them to me. I hung them on my curtains and placed them as my decorations. Every year, I get such a thrill when I see the first leaves turning.

Now if you visit Rhondi from Rose Colored Glasses you will read many Thankful Thursday posts.

The song for this post is Autumn Leaves, and no one sings it better than Nat King Cole. Have a lovely day.

Golden Autumn

P.S. While visiting some of my favorite blogs this morning, I noticed Terisa of Running With Scissors has a wonderful post about an artisan creation for a 2009 desk calendar. It is so lovely, and Terisa and her husband Dave have created beautiful pages.

What gorgeous fall pictures! I've been trying to hang on tight to summer, but after seeing these lovely pics, I feel my fingers loosening their grip on summer a bit .... there's nothing like the beauty of an autumn day

Stunning, stunning pictures.

Our autumn here is not so spectacular or vivid in colour, but I LOVE a crisp autumn morning.

Ah Karen, these beautiful pictures remind me why I love Autumn. The rich, brilliant, deep jewel colors. Ok, now I'm ready:>)

Hi Karen
I love fall too, the colors, the smell, the temperatures. We'll have to wait a little longer for fall here in North Carolina but it's worth the wait. I don't think I'd like to live where there is no change of seasons.
Hugs, Rhondi

Dear Karen
beautiful pictures...I am thankful for many things..wish I could experience the different seasons rather than just seeing them in picutures.

Wishing you a good weekend.

Until 2002 we lived on the central coast of California where we didn't really experience seasons. Since we moved to Utah I have so enjoyed that process. I didn't know what I was missing. Your pictures are beautiful. Mimi
