Sandwich

DSC04931I visited a little town called Sandwich on Cape Cod the other day. They have a wonderful boardwalk leading to the beach.

DSC04931You can see the ocean in the distance.

DSC04931The distance to walk on the boardwalk to the beach is dramatic.

DSC04931And the backdrop is equally as dramatic.

DSC04890

DSC04931Such an unusual place, filled with nothing but golden fields and the beach outstretched as far as the eye can see.

DSC04931And then there was a sunset behind where I stood.

DSC04931The moon came out and I could see the stars and it was time to drive home.

I left with a bit of serenity, and some stars in my pockets.

Feeling refreshed I set out for my drive home from the Cape. The sounds today are the sounds I heard in Sandwich. I hope your day is filled with wishing stars.

This is so beautiful Karen! As a dutch girl I'm fond of the beach, most of our borders are coastlines. Are these golden fields wetlands? Thanks for sharing and I especially want to thank you for taking a wishing star for us, I can always use one!
