AH! Newport is one of our favorite places. We lived in Mass. for 11 years to go to school and Newport was a vacation spot for us many times. I remember the little cottage by the sea, covered in roses. Life is beautiful on the east coast! Blessings, Anita

Do you live in RI? I didn't know that! My sister live in Jamestown. I have boated up to the docks in Newport of have lunch from their house in Jamestown! While visiting her we were just about to your the Breakers when we got a phone call that our plane reservations were changed and we had to leave and head to the airport. We had only gotten into the second room of the mansion.
You captured Newports beauty perfectly.

Ohhhh, what a day! Perhaps I can't make it to Newport, but I can get pretty close to that atmosphere on the next sunny day... And did it smell as wonderful as it looked? I bet it did!
I just came from a morning of learning to make stand up Egg Cards for Easter and a yummy breakfast at Phyllis's home. We had so much fun!!! I love this beautiful post as I do all of your posts...m..

I adore Newport. That bridge has had a magical quality to it since I was a child. My sisters and I had a girl's weekend there with our mom last fall and we plan to go again this year. Thank you for the beautiful reminder of a special place. ~Kathy

Beautiful photos of Newport, Karen. I'd like to go back again. We were there with my daughter a few years ago and visited the mansions and went sailing too. I so love that place!
