THE PINK ARTIST'S PINK ART BLOCK PARTY

Pink Artists

Monica of Girl Gone Thread Wild, asked artists to also donate a piece of art created by the artist for the 2009 PINK ART BLOCK PARTY. THE ART DRAWING officially begins on July 31, 2009.

PINK ART BLOCK PARTY

pink-art-original-watercolor-paintingI wanted to donate a painting of one of my favorite things. I have painted an original watercolor painting of my composition of a pot of Dried Roses.

pink-roses-for-a-pink-saturday I used Arches Watercolor paper 140 lb. I used Winsor & Newton watercolor paint. The painting image measures 8 x 10 inches with a white border. I am including a white mat board measuring 11 x 14 inches.

PINK ART BLOCK PARTY

pink-roses-for-a-pink-saturdayI look forward to seeing all the PINK ART that will be created for the 2009 PINK ART BLOCK PARTY. Artwork is beginning to fill the pages of Monica's Prize Wheel. You can click here to see the gallery, which will continue to fill, or you can view a slide show on Monica's blog. The GRAND PRIZE is a beautiful quilt created by the PINK ARTISTS.

I noticed that people have created some of my favorite things. See you there. The song for this post is MY FAVORITE THINGS.

Thanks for the heads up, Karen. You really are a thoughtful and generous person. Breast cancer awareness is very important to me as my husband lost his first wife to it when she was only 30 years old. They had two children, ages 2 and 3. How much more sad can that be?

I am on my way to Monica's blog. And your watercolor's are gorgeous!!
