Seeking Inspiration
Thursday, July 16, 2009
Sometimes I find inspiration in my garden and I bring it indoors.
Sometimes I take a ride and memorize God's beauty using my camera.
Sometimes I take a walk through one of our nearby parks, and meditate on God's Word.
Other times I like to enjoy God's creatures and I go around the block and visit Mr. Llama
Or breathe in the beauty I see everywhere.
Sometimes inspiration can be found in the common things.
And the changing moods of nature.
Inspiration...
You never know where it might be hiding.
And then, there is always Photoshop doodling...
Where do you go.
What do you do to seek inspiration?
The song for this post is Over The Rainbow...
now there's a place where we could all find inspiration.
P.S. I can draw socks, but I can't knit like my sister, Susan. The scrapbook frames are from PickleberryPop. Oh, and Mrs. Llama says to say hello!
Karen, what a blessing you are to me! Let's see...where do I find inspiration? (you always make me think!..)
I find inspiration in my heart I think, and that is why I strive to keep close in my relationship to the Lord so that my heart and my thoughts pure and clean. When I am most troubled or confused..I find it very difficult to create..honestly, can't even whip up a potholder!! It is very frustrating at times, but I feel so confident that my talent comes from the Lord, that when I stray, I lose my inspiration to make decisions on fabrics and patterns. That is when I know that I need to get right with God again, get into that special place where all is well in my heart. Wow! Sure didn't mean to go on like this..Hmmmm!!
Bless you friend,
Sharon
You are so right. When we keep our hearts and our eyes open, we will find inspiration all around us.
The many blessings are there, we just need to recognize them.
You are a blessing to me.
What a beautiful post today Karen! I loved seeing all of the places that inspire you. Yesterday I spent the day on a lake. The beauty was awe inspiring!
Hugs,
Penny
Those are beautiful photos, Karen! I agree that sometimes inspiration can be found in the common things. :)
Another thoughtful beautiful blog Karen. Nature always inspires me. I do think God was a artist. I enjoy his work everyday. I might add that your wonderful blog is very inspiring too. Sharon

Dear Karen,
you are my inspiration when I came here - your posts, your arts, photos and songs. Beautiful spirit is here!
I like to sit on my balcony and watch the sky. Flowing clouds, stars, the moon, the sun is my inspiration every day.
Have a wonderful day!
Like always, your posts are filled with a sincere love for God. His nature always brings a smile and tear to my eye; it is so magical, tender, and kind---like you. I admire my watercolor everyday, Karen. I still have to find the right frame for it. God bless you, Anita
I'm in love with Mr. Llama, Karen. Please give him my regards. What a cutie! And your socks are cute, too.
Inspiration? I find it all around me. I try to surround myself with the things I love that amuse me. And I find it in the water. Thankfully, it's not far away. :-)
XO,
Sheila :-)
I Karen
I find inspiration from nature, from friends like you, from books, anything colorful!

WooHoo!!! Party day is just a week away! I'm so looking forward to seeing everyone's creative spaces. I have a request... I thought it would be easier for everyone to leave comments if we all turned off comment moderation and word verification during the day (or maybe week) of the party. To do that, go to customize, settings, comments...then scroll down to turn off comment moderation and word verification.
I hope you have a wonderful weekend and a fabulous week. See you next Friday!!
P.S. Thank you for that wonderful post!!!
Karen
