oday is Mosaic Monday, and Mary from Little Red House, is hosting this lovely day. A trip down to the shore on a winter's day and this lovely poem found in an old book seemed to say what is in my heart about...
THE PEACE OF OLD CAPE COD
obody ever tried to put it into words...
The birds, the trees, the ponds,
†he sudden stretches of the sea,
the fields windswept and free,
the hills where quiet feet have trod,
the heavenly peace of old Cape Cod.
obody ever made a poem of it,
or painted a picture doing justice to it,
and yet, the lives, that harassed torn
and bleeding, became less forlorn,
grew healed, where lies the living sod,
the matchless peace of old Cape Cod.
Heartsick of cities’ clamorous strife,
and yearning for a wiser life,
found here their hopes fulfilled;
the goldenrod and aster grew
above the sorrow once they knew,
Made o’er again, they learn of God,
and walked with him on Old Cape Cod.

As time goes by and I find myself returning often to Cape Cod, I fall more deeply in love with it's history and beauty. The song for this post is My Romance,
P.S. I was just walking through my kitchen this morning with a cup of coffee and the light caught this little vignette sitting on my baker's rack. Well, one thing led to another and pretty soon I had captured it, written some inspirational thoughts and saved it as my desktop image. It really makes a dreamy desktop. So, just click on the image below and tell your computer you want to use it as your desktop image. I used the border to organize my folders. The words...are in the reflection
Beauty can be found in the tiniest details

These photos of Cape Cod are simply stunning! The beaches resemble the beaches of our northern islands, not those of our coast line. Thanks for sharing, happy Monday!
