Ever since I was a little girl I have loved miniature things, and doll houses.
When I wasn't playing with my doll house, I was reading, mostly my favorite book still,
The Secret Garden.
Shadow boxes to me are like doll houses,
filled with tiny things.
Each little shelf can hold a
small treasure,
An
Antique Bobble can rest on a tiny shelf.
With bits of glitter here and there to embellish a vignette.
I started creating this shadow box,
with my wonderful
friend Judy in mind.
Once I began the process of collecting little things,
I realized The Secret Garden was coming to life.
This shadow box was created inside a printer's box
which I purchased at my favorite little place,
Ink About It.
Now It's on it's way to Judy's house.
Created especially to remind my beautiful friend how much I love her and how I cherish our friendship.
Friendships are just like a garden, we plant a seed and it begins to grow and bloom into a wonderful relationship. The song for this post is

Oh darn! Now I regret every printers box I have ever passed up at a yard sale! This is so pretty that now I will be looking for another chance to find one so I can make my own shadow box:>) I adore the little tag with titmice on it! Your shadow box is magical! Your friend is very lucky indeed (I remember when you took us along for a visit to her lovely home).
The Secret Garden was a favorite book of mine too, and my children watched the movie over and over when they were young.

It's the sweetest! I like where you said in shadowboxes, every square can hold a treasure (or something like that) :-) That each may hold different things but as a whole they are perfect all together. No doubt your friend will love it very much :-)
