Finding Beauty Friday & Pink Saturday

Claudia from Dippity Road is hosting Finding Beauty Friday. A celebration of finding the beauty around us. One night on the way to a class, I spotted this hot air balloon in the distance. My camera was sitting next to me and I was tempted to turn the car in the direction of the balloon to capture it's beauty.

Would you like to ride in my beautiful balloonInstead I traveled toward class, when all of a sudden the very same hot air balloon landed right in front of my car.

Hot Air Balloon

Well, I just couldn't resist, so I got out of my car, captured the moment on film and still got to class on time.

Landing safe and sound

Pink skies, hot air balloons and dreamsI am away for a long weekend, so I thought I would also post my Pink Saturday post.

Brag Monday

hot-air-balloons-closeupBeing an Alice person, I am thrilled and I just can't wait. I wrote a post on my other blog about some new Alice in Wonderland artwork. Or you can see it on my etsy shop.

Hi Karen

Gosh, what is not to like here? Your work is so you--if I saw it hanging in the Whitney, I'd know it was a Karen Harvey Cox original! :0)

Oh Karen sweetie...
I have always wanted to take a hot air balloon ride, but nobody is brave enough to go up with me. We see quite a few of them here in the valley where we live, but we do not get them over our house. They like to glide over the desert. I have see the ones from the hot air balloon fest several times. It is breath taking. Maybe next time I can get some pics for you.

I love "Pinkie" from Alice and Wonderland. She is my favorite. Alice has always been my favorite and I have many pop up books and other treasures from Alice and Wonderland.

How ironic that this balloon has this beautiful message on it. You have posted a beautiful post. Thank you for sharing again today.

Have a beautiful weekend. Country hugs and so much love...Sherry

Hot air balloons are the coolest things! How considerate of the driver (operator? balloon-person?) to land in front of you! ::Jill

Well, this was a shot that insisted it be taken and what a glorious shot it is! I love hot air balloons. A few months ago my niece was in one and they had to make an emergency landing right, smack dab in the middle of a neighborhood in Arizona. I'll bet the neighbors will talk about that for years.

Love Alice with the Flamingo, one of my favorite birds.

I have always been enchanted with hot air balloons. Each one bright and different. I will never forget when the girls were little a ballon landed right in our yard! They were so excited, the whole neighborhood came running, young and old, to get a closer look and help fold up the balloon:>)
