Today Rhondi from Rhondi's Rose Colored Glasses is hosting Thankful Thursday.
Eyes,
I have been very thankful this week for my eyes.
I was having pain in my eyes and I could hardly see.
It has been bothering me for several weeks and continued to worsen.
I couldn't paint, or create or spend much time on the computer. Lions and Tigers and Bears, oh no!
I went to the eye doctor and he told me that I have a staph infection in both eyes. Yuk.
Yet he gave me this cream to use for a month and he didn't seem alarmed. Now I can have tea with the queen.
Today I am so thankful for my eyesight, and to have such wonderful doctors nearby who I can always rely.
I am thankful that the Lord is always watching over and directly my steps. Most of all I am thankful He reminds me to be grateful for the things I sometimes take for granted. This month I was reminded to always open the eyes of my heart so that I always keep the Lord in view. The song for this post is Open The Eyes of My Heart.
Yes, eyes matter! I'm thankful I can see, and I'm thankful I live at a time when glasses are easy to come by!

Hi Karen
I am so glad to hear that your eyes are okay and hopefully getting better. For an artist, having eye trouble is even worse. The card didn't come yet. I'll watch for the mailman with expectation today.
Thanks for joining my thankful Thursday.
Hugs, Rhondi
Yes, our eyes are so important. Glad it was only an infection and could be cured with medicing. Enjoy all the lovely sights this week. Stella
It's all in the eyes... the eyes have it... LOL
OMG Karen! If you ever need me for anything just let me know. You don't need to go through it by yourself. I could be there in a jiffy.

I am so glad you were able to get this remedied! How scary! And I need your eyes working, i see such beauty in the world through them!
I am thankful for eyes to see too! Oh how the blind will get to see one day. Won't that be amazing! I hope you heal up all the way!
Very sweet and tender post. I love your blog!So glad we found each other!
Looking forward to our friendship.
Oh goodness Karen, I am so glad it wasn't something serious! Our eyes are so important, and to an artist like yourself, the loss of sight would be devastating. A wonderful post to remind us of things we so often take for granted.
Thank heaven it wasn't anything serious. I can't imagine what life would be like without my eyesight!!!
What a precious gift that I also take for granted. I'm so glad that yours are doing better; the world comes alive in such a wonderful way through them and so many beautiful things come in to being.
I,too, am SO thankful for my good eyes...my brother lost his eyesight and I've often wondered how I could survive losing mine. I try to be thankful for things like this every day...
wow - I am so glad that your eyes are going to be fine - very scary - Loved all your photos of the eyes!!
Thank God you are going to be okay.
So glad your doing better. It's so scary to have something wrong with your eyes.
Thank you for reminding me to be grateful for my eyesight and all of the wonderful things there are to see.
Dearest Karen,
I too was having a problem with my eyes, but it seems to have dissipated; we often complain here of eye problems, but we think it is from the extreme cold and dry air, unlike Mass., where I found the air to be moister. I am so glad you caught this in time! IS THAT REALLY YOU WITH THE QUEEN? It looks like you....God bless you dearest one! Keep on creating with those lovely eyes of yours!!!
Anita
Dear Karen,
I am very thankful for my eyes also. Can you imagine that in my age I can read without glasses.
I have glasses in home to read
but without them I can red.
Thanks God.
Beautiful is this song.
I am thankful for your friendship!
Have a blessed weekend!
