Pink Saturday

DSC05256

DSC05236Today is Pink Saturday, and Bev from How Sweet The Sound is hosting this fun pink day. Some enchanting evening. I remember walking to High School and singing this song all the way to school. Once a romantic, always a romantic.

DSC05254

DSC05236When I moved to Princeton, my neighbors who lived above me were in love with the soundtrack from South Pacific, which they would play over and over again.

DSC05251

DSC05236My husband lived next door at the time, and we had just met. Perhaps it was a sign when I could hear this song play over and over again.

DSC05259

DSC05236Listening to inspirational music while I create is another favorite thing I love to do. It always makes me feel like I am living in an old movie. The music seems to lull me onto some creative journey.

DSC05258

DSC05236It seemed fitting to introduce you to a lovely creation which is totally enchanting and romantic, with this song playing in the background.

DSC05257

DSC05236The lovely Karen Provost of A Favor's A Favor, gave me this beautiful gift wrapped in her own creative way.

DSC05244

DSC05236This is a Glitter Station. OMG!!! Don’t you just want to squeal with delight? She took a vintage wine glass added a charm and bow with the words "Glitter Me" written on the glass.

DSC05241

DSC05236I placed this lovely glass on this mirror to show off the glittery shine against the silver glitter that was included in this gift.

DSC05241

DSC05236Karen added a vintage spoon to serve just the right amount of glitter. How lovely.

DSC05236

DSC05236It made me think, wouldn’t it be delightful to have a glitter party?

DSC05252

DSC05236Inspired by her design, I have created some glittery things.

DSC05249

DSC05236Karen is an instructor at the amazing Ink About It. This treasure is as dreamy and romantic as this song...Some Enchanting Evening.

DSC05241

DSC05236Thank you Karen, I love this so much. Of course it has inspired many romantic creations.

You can never have enough glitter! What do you think about a little "Alice" on Sunday? I should be free in the afternoon after a photo class in the morning. Let's make it a magical weekend!

What a special, elegant gift. I love the Paris cards you are making. And would really like to hear more of that story about the guy next door.

Good morning dearest one! How are your eyes? Mine are terribly irritated for some reason now for about 3 days....your glitter fest here is TDF....I never tire of the stuff, and will be doing a post on glitter coming soon. Today is my 28th wedding anniversary; come by if you can and meet Ruben.

HAPPY PINK SATURDAY! Anita

Very shiny! This post reminded me of my mother's words, "NO GLITTER!" and it made me laugh. When our kids were little, I figured it out. After we had glittered things up I'd have glitter on myself for weeks. A sparkle on my cheek or on a shoe - embedded deep in the rugs. I still love it though and I enjoy glittery skin products, too! Happy Pink Saturday, Karen!

Princeton?! My first job, right out of college, was at the Clinton Art Center (the old mill) in Clinton! We were almost neighbors!

The "glitter station" is such a clever idea.

I'm off to check out the blog now - thanks for the link.
