Pink Saturday

Let' set the table French

DSC06405Today is Pink Saturday and Bev from How Sweet The Sound is hosting this Pin Day. I was inspired the other day, when some fabric arrived from Spoonflower.

Evening-in-Paris

DSC06405It made me think how this fabric would look great as a table runner.

DSC06431

DSC06405Or maybe a tablecloth. Did I tell you that I am learning how to sew?

DSC06430

DSC06405After I thought about that, I was browsing in Home Goods (better than therapy). I love white dishes,

Paris Anyone?

DSC06405and I found some lovely coffee mugs and little square dishes with the Eiffel Tower design.

Set the Table French
I had these French doves for candles, but I found sweet little tea lights to go inside.

DSC06407

DSC06405So, I came home and set the table with my favorite coffee pot, dishes, cake forks and coffee spoons and cream and sugar bowl.

DSC06416

DSC06405It's a funny thing about how one thing leads to another. I thought why not join White Wednesday over at Faded Charm, this is my first time.

DSC06421

DSC06405Now I think I will go bake a cake. Or learn how Julia Child makes French pastry.

Evening in Paris FabricThe name of the song for this post is I Love Paris.

Thanks for inviting us all for tea. Just wish that we knew what kind of cake we're eating here. ;>
Sweet dishes, wonderful fabric, you pulled it all together beautifully.

Love those mugs and the fabric with the Eiffel Tower. How Frenchy you are. Your flowers are gorgeous, and your dining room is so pretty. I need to try a sewing class. I took Home Ec and did NOT do well at the sewing. I'm afraid it it made me dislike sewing. Maybe I've matured enough to have the patience it requires. laurie

Good morning dear Karen!
White dishes and other white accessories are my absolute favorite, especially when serving up colorful food. If the plates are too ornate, you can't see the food! White is beautiful, and so is your lovely, lovely home. Thank you for inviting us in!!! Bisous, Anita

I just adore that fabric - whoever designed it?!

I love the Eiffel Tower tableware - I wish we had a Home Goods near us. The closest thing we have is a TJMax LOL.

Fun post, Karen. Synchronicity!!! I found a meme called Teacup Tuesday ... !!!!! (Love your fabric ... I keep thinking about the postal fabric you showed earlier and what a wonderful pillow it would make....)

Karen, I have those same dishes! Can you believe it??? I used them for cake when Claudie was here. And I love that fabric and think it will be a lovely runner for your table. You won't believe this either, but I have been thinking of buying a machine, too! Let me know what you get. I have been looking at a Brother to start.

XO,

Sheila :-)
