Happy Pink Saturday and Happy 4th of July

100_4307Today is Pink Saturday and Bev from How Sweet The Sound is hosting a very Pink day. This time of year I look forward to Corn on the Cob.

100_4307Watching a local parade or two.

100_4307Admiring the town gazebos and lampposts decorated for the 4th.

Memorial Day

100_4307Love seeing people's doorsteps and porches look as American as apple pie.

Quilt Welcome

100_4307Have I ever told you what great apple pie my Grandmother always made?

100_4307Speaking of pretty doorsteps, another one of our Pink Saturday regulars has the prettiest doorstep to her blog.

100_4307In keeping with the Pink tradition, have you visited Claudia from Dippity Road yet?

100_4307Claudia always captures beauty with her lens and has the loveliest blog. She has the sweetest 4th of July post.

100_4307No matter which direction you might be heading for this 4th of July Weekend, wishing you a safe journey.

100_4307Hope you have a great 4th of July,

100_4307The song for this post is performed by Louis Armstrong and his Hot Five called Fireworks, 1928.

"Jazz and Blues was born of a multi-hued society, it unites people across the divides of race, region and national boundaries and has always made powerful statements about freedom, creativity and American identity at home and abroad."
from A Passion For Jazz.

That picture of the baby holding a cup of coffee and an apple pie is so cute Karen, it made me laugh:>) I just love the colors of our flag and i still get an occasional tear in my eye when I see the flag flyng in the breeze, I love it so much. Happy 4th, I hope you get your fill of corn on the cob and good times my friend!

Happy Pink Saturday Karen Sweetie...
Your post today is so beautiful. I love the quilt draped on the porch. Quilts are my weakness, a girl can never have to many that is for sure.

Colorful, fun and so patriotic too. Oh and I love that blue bike photo. Perfect for the occasion.

Have a beautiful pink Saturday and a safe and fun 4th of July.

Country hugs sweetie...Sherry
