DSC00205I have lots of little corners where I can create in my home,

yet, this time of year I love to be where I can also see the view outside.

Sigh, it feels so nice to be painting in my own little corner again.  The song for this post is In My Own Little Corner.

Of course, I haven't forgotten fabric design, if you click on the Little Yellow Bird below, it will bring you to the fabric on Spoonflower...

My original Little Bird painting is available now in my etsy shop.

Wishing you a very lovely weekend, and a very Happy Pink Saturday.

This song is from Cinderella, and well I got a little Cinderella carried away and created this treasury on etsy called Cinderella Inspiration.  You should see all the lovely pink finds and dreamy inspiration.  Please take home this little Pink Bird, as my gift.

Karen, you are my joy. I feel as if I am in the living room of an old friend, with whom I have shared many cups of tea over the years, yet it has only been a short amount of time. Your corner is a place I would like to live. Beautiful my dear, just beautiful. Thank you for everything. Fondly, Anita

This is such an interesting post, Karen. I always love to watch an artist work and this is the next best thing, seeing a bit of the process. I love both paintings!

Have fun at your class!

Jane

I love getting to see you create, Karen! And I like both versions of the bird. I would be hard pressed to pick a favorite. Can't wait to see the pics of the studio and to see what you create there. Be sure to share it with us!

XO,

Sheila :-)

P.S. If you want the world's most delicious coconut cake, drop by my blog and look towards the bottom of the post I have on there, and you will see the recipe. You don't have to leave a comment, but you really do want to copy it. Nancy served it for my birthday, and let me assure you, it is divine!

Karen, Love your work. Watercolor is something I have done very little of, I guess it's scary to know there is no taking back a stroke with water color! Happy Pink Saturday have a great week. Debbie

Hi Karen....what a delightful bird....in every design that you shared with us! I am glad you are finding such joy in your "little corner". We all need "our spot" to create sometimes. That's great that you are going to classes, too, even though you certainly don't need them! (Unless you are the teacher in this one, but I didn't get that from your text). I love to spend time by myself...but it's wonderful to be inspired by like minded souls.

Hope your PS was wonderful. L, Dana

Hi Karen,

I love the bird in the nest. I love the color choices and the angle of the bird. The pink bird dazzles me. It should be used as a logo to represent Breast Cancer awareness. It only needs a little pink ribbon in its beak. Beautiful! Thanks for sharing.
