Such great pictures of all that snow. I think we got a little over a foot, but it looks as if you received even more. Those windows on either side of your dining room fireplace are amazing. You'll have to visit and see my lame attempt at having fun in the snow. ;>
Good morning,Lovely photos of your part of the country. There are many times I wished I grew up where it snowed.I've lived in S.Ca. all my life, only see the snow on vacation to our local Mts.I too though wake up thinking about when my four daughters were little girls and all the fun we had.I don't think I'll ever stop missing those little girls, even though I see them all the time now as women.Well I better stop or I'll have us both crying.Lets laugh instead.
Now I love snow days because I get the day off! A few years ago we took the girls sledding, hadn't gone in years, and I screamed all the way down the hill, every single time I went down:>)
That is some serious snow! I don't know if I have enough warm clothes to bundle up and play outside! But you've taken some gorgeous photos! I guess I will just have to walk down memory lane! Enjoy your day...stay warm! ♥
What wonderful memories you bring to me! We lived out in the country on a lake. Our house was built on a hill and we would toboggon down the hill and shoot out onto the ice covered lake! We skated, built forts and snowman. What a ball!
Hugs, Penny p.s. thank you for telling me about Eddie Ross! I just submitted a couple of things.
Do you know I only remember one snow day in all my life, Karen, and it was when I was in high school. A guy who was one of my good friends (also Mr. Magpie's best friend) came by with his sled, and then we walked to Mr. Magpie's house. I had fixed a huge breakfast of bacon and eggs before we set out. LOL! That's still my favorite thing to cook, and the thing I do best.
It looks like you live in a beautiful snow globe. What gorgeous pictures! I am living vicariously through you. We went down into the freezing temps last night, but no snow, not that the tropical plants and citrus could take it. It's just that I would like to see "real" snow again, eyeball to eyeball.
Your snow pictures are fantastic...you really have a ton in your neck of the woods!
I really miss when the kids were little...they would make snow ramps going down the front steps and take sled rides! I loved watching...watching the key word here!!
Hi Karen! Yes, yesterday was a snow day for us here in Canada too! and the kids were home from school....but we stayed inside this time...all cozy and warm...sipping hot cocoa and drawing and reading! I really do love snow days....!!!
then it time to go out and shovel and let me tell you it was no small feat!
Beautifully done, Karen, but in just left Minnesota and the snow and I am so glad to be out of it. We are in California for medical reasons and that is not so fun, but the sun is shining and the flowers are so pretty! Fondly, Suz
Oh now GOD made snow to delight the earth with the hope of all things waiting to push forth and bloom...this was lovely dearest heart. ENJOY THE MEMORIES and the MOMENT!!!! Anita

Hello Karen,
Wow! You do have tons of snow there.
We have some but it's Canada, Eh?
Today is clear with light snow.
I hope you are doing fine.

Your snow photos are so gorgeous! Snow days take me back to when I was a kid too. Making snowmen and snow forts and refusing to come in from the cold.
