I have been looking at my blog with the same feeling that I get when I look at my Christmas tree. They both need attention.
I can't seem to find the energy to do either one.
This week I am somewhere in-between memorizing this Christmas, and getting ready for the New Year. 2012 Yikes!
I haven't been able to muster a bit of energy to take down the tree, or write a new post until today.
So, I am popping in to say hi and to wish you a Happy New Year. I will be taking down my tree today, and thinking about taking down my Christmassy embellishments from my blog.
I feel like I am slowly getting my ambition back to tackle my "To Do List".
So until then, I will pour myself another cup of coffee and take down the ornaments from our Christmas tree and put them all away.
Wishing you an inspirational day. I love Ben Taylor, and I love the way he sings I Will.
I will tackle my "To Do List", I will not eat another Christmas cookie, I will fix up my blog and visit everyone, I will answer all my e-mails, I will make those phone calls, I will get to my paperwork, I will take down all the Christmas listings on etsy, I will get excited about beginning another year, I will design new fabric for the weekly contest, I will take some photos for texture tuesday, I will find some pink for Pink Saturday, I will put all the Christmas decorations away nice and neatly, I will take down the Christmas lights outside before it snows, I will come out of this trance, I will stop daydreaming! But I will take some time today to Thank God for a beautiful Christmas, and think of all the nice blessings around me today, like you..before the new year begins.
Thank you for this year of beautiful words that you have left for me on my blog. For always inspiring me and bringing me joy. Thank you for being you.
I will be taking my tree down tomorrow. We have little guests right now and there is no time. I am ready to have my house back again. We put our decorationns up the day after Thanksgiving.
Our guests arrived the day after Christmas, so there has not been a lot of time to blog here either.
Wishing you the most wonderful 2012!
Hugs,
Penny
Don't take them down on my account. =) I love Christmas decor up for a good long while yet. It's the time I enjoy most when I can spend time by the tree reading and there's not the hustle and bustle of the days leading up to Christmas. Oh, but you're one of those who loves getting back to normal so it's all good whichever "team" you're on. Enjoy! (So glad that your Christmas in Vermont was wonderful. Did you also have just the right amount of snow? It was like being in a gently shaken snowglobe here.)
Good afternoon beautiful Karen.
We are all probably coming down THE HIGH of having so much festivities, fun, laughter, travel and for me, coming down the ADRENALIN HIGH that I usually operate on when I am in the classroom! I go back to school on the 2nd...wishing YOU a most joyous year and thank you for all the memories, mentorship and love. Anita
I'm right there with you, Karen! Just slowly take them down and don't rush. Remember that the 12 days of Christmas starts on Christmas and runs through the 6th of January when the wise men came to visit the baby Jesus. So you are ahead of the game. :-)
I have been MIA for a month due to computer issues, and now that I got it back, I'm up to my eyeballs in things that are getting ready to happen after the New Year, gearing up for a busy, busy January. But I am going to carve out some time each day to visit my blog friends, and I wanted to drop by and wish you a very Happy New Year! Since I've been computerless, I am glad you left your decorations up so I had a chance to see them!!! GORGEOUS.
XO,
Sheila :-)
Happy New Year Karen!
Gabriela
Whew! That's a very long to do (or "I will") list Karen! But the New Year seems to bring new energy too, as we sweep away the old and look forward to a fresh start. Happy New Year my friend!
