Vee's Note Card Party

Today is a Note Card Party, hosted by the lovely Vee from A Haven for Vee. Vee asked us to post four photographs of photos we would love to turn into note cards.

At the end of the post I have a little surprise for you.

Thank you Vee for hosting this fun event.

My first photo is of my Vintage typewriter at the beach.  Am I crazy or what?  So, here is a cropped version for a note card...

This photo has been very popular one on flickr and several people are using it on their web sites.  So, I cropped this landscape view photo and made it a portrait view.

Now everybody loves roses, I especially love white ones.

Here it is as a note card with a crop added to make it more interesting.

My final photograph is some books I have in my Louisa May Alcott collection.  Here are a few of my favorite books about her journals and Concord, home of Orchard House, a journal written by her father Bronson Alcott.

I thought it might make a more interesting note card turned on it's side.  I guess I could also reverse it, and make it into a landscape view.

So, here's my surprise.

The note cards that I shared on this post are actually note cards that you can create with your own photography and have them printed out professionally.

I recently joined Society6.  My friend Joan told me that they are wonderful, and they are.

Now I will be selling my things on Society6, but enough about me, you don't have to sell anything.  You can still have your photographs printed on note cards, art print minis, framed art prints, stretched canvases, stationery cards, iPhone cases, iPhone and iPod skins, Laptop and iPad skins.

Squeeeeeeel!  Fun huh?

You can just join, upload your photograph and create everything I mentioned and even, tee shirts, and hoodies...

Well, I can't wait to visit all the wonderful people who are participating in Vee's party.  So, please stop by A Haven For Vee and enjoy all the photographs and note card dreams.

P.S.  I don't get any commission  for telling you about this, I just want to share the wealth.  We are so blessed here in the Land of Blog...it's a mecca of resources.

If you do join Society6, stop by and follow me and I'll follow you back.

How cool is that? I had no idea. I was going to say that you made it very easy for me to imagine these photos as note cards and beautiful ones at that. I adore the vintage suitcase at the train station and the dreamy white roses. Thanks for the added information. Who knows where it'll take a gal?!

Karen, I enjoyed visiting your blog and seeing your photo choices. I like the way you present them..the cropping and the view of an actual card. Very enjoyable to visit tonight!

Your photos are wonderful, Karen! I've always admired your "suitcase by the railroad tracks" photo from the first time I saw it, and the Alcott book stack is a very sweet image. Thanks for the info about Society6! I often wished I had note cards made from some of my images and so I think I will join and make soem soon! :)

OK, I am in a rush to get to work, so I am not sure I got the gist of this, but are you saying that for example, I can make notecards out of my drawings for example? Because going back and forth to Office Max to print out my drawings for my Etsy shop results in half-baked attempts! I am looking for a better result. Could you email me dear Karen IF you have a moment and tell me more about this service??????? ANITA

Those are all beautiful photos and just perfect for cards. Since I'm a traveler, I especially like the one with the luggage! And it's good to know about that web site. I wouldn't mind having a iPad skin made from one of my photos!

I love all your wonderful things. I really love the white rose card that you made. My favourite thing to do when I am writing a letter to a friend is to take rose pictures, my favourite is blush, and use them as a watermark background and then write my letter. It is really simple and very effective for making beautiful letterhead. Thank you for sharing and have a wonderful day.
