I woke up to snow outside and tulips blooming inside this morning. My friend Susan sent me a beautiful planter for my Birthday, with surprise bulbs already planted. I couldn't wait to see what bouquet awaited me.
The white tulips bloomed today, but I see yellow and red ones peeking below, yet to bloom.
Christmas was wonderful and I hope yours was too. We might go to Vermont for New Year's day if the weather cooperates. I love Vermont this time of year, and we'll be visiting my Mom who lives in South Burlington, Vermont.
Have a beautiful day, and Thank you Susan. You made the let down after Christmas be a Spring bouquet, instead.
These are so pretty Karen! I am always surprised at how much Ilove white in the winter. You would think we would crave color, and sometimes I do! But, the white seems to capture and amplify the light and seems so fresh and clean and pure. I love the whiteness of these tulips!
Oh-it is beautiful, Karen~Your pictures and all...I hope you do get to go Vermont for Christmas. I have a young friend that transferred there and works at Starbucks in Burlington. xo Diana
A trip to Vermont sounds like a lovely thing - at any time of year, but especially in the snow. I know the Burlington area a wee bit - it was a favourite detour on our way from Ontario to Cape Breton in the summer time.
Snow and tulips! How lucky you are! They are beautiful. Safe travels.
Hugs,
Penny
I never thought to start tulips indoors...how beautiful! The snow, too. Hope you get to Vermont. After watching White Christmas so many times I've always wanted to stay in an inn there!! :)
XO,
Jane
What a beautiful gift...the snow and the tulips!
