Dusty Designs, New books, New inspirations

Far back in my fabric collections, I had created a design called A Nice Day to do Laundry.  It sat in my collections on Spoonflower lost forever, so I thought.

Until a customer from Canada told me that she was redoing her laundry room, and did my design also come in wallpaper and decals.

So, I dusted off the design, worked it into wallpaper and decals and even added a print for her.

I think that out of all the things that I have designed over the years, designing fabric never grows old for me.  Some of my designs get old and tucked back in the archives of 1,000 fabric designs, but my love of designing them never does.

I am on a quest to design some new French designs, so I bought this book on Paris in Anthropologie the other day.  Pure impulse, but it is now added to some wonderful new books that truly inspire me.

I noticed that Elyse from Tinkered Treasures has this book too, she is on her way to a wonderful adventure in London and then Paris with her new book release.  Now that is one book that I will add to  my inspiration stack.

A cup of tea, a bit of music and a stack of books.  My bliss.

What a cheery design. It must have been nice to have been reminded of it and to have a chance to work with it again.
Good luck with les aventures françaises!

I was thrilled for Elyse and her book. Your book on Paris sounds wonderful. Love your laundry design too. My new home just has a laundry closet....so no decorating for me there :-)
Hugs,
Penny

Oh will she share her laundry room makeover with you? The weather is perfect for your bliss. I am reading blogs and having chamomile tea while covered in a blankie. Perfect.

Love the laundry print!
I was just looking at that Paris book online yesterday and trying to decide if I needed it. I haven't seen it in the shops here in NZ and I don't like buying a book I haven't been able to flick through!

This is such a pretty design, Karen--just perfect to cheer up a laundry room! I ironed my husband's dress shirts for two hours this morning, as every one of them had to be re-laundedred after our move.

Thank you for your kind comment on my blog. We are looking forward to meeting our new grand daughter very soon!

Good morning my dear friend!

Your design with the French script is on one of my pillows; I took a photo of it on one of my chairs and pinned it to Pinterest and it has been repinned several times....because of YOUR lovely design. KEEP GOING!
